I'm curious - what is this Failbook stuff?

failbook.org is part of the Cheeseburger network (the LOLcats). Their posts are actual Facebook posts that have had the names blotted out, etc - but are worth having their own forum due to their sheer humour, stupidity, etc...they stand out for a reason.

Posts like this demonstrate how posting unwisely can really hurt your career. For some reason, I think the person in this one is female...don't know why...but whoever it is will hopefully get a sound psych exam before being thrown out of the Army.

"Conduct unbecoming..."?

Okay - thanks for the explanation.

Stupidity I can see, but where is the humour in rape and murder? Why would someone repeat what someone else had said? Seems sick to me, on both sides. But, then, I was raised with Milton Berle.

Grace - read the responses below that nasty post, and you will see what a fellow member of the military wrote - the one that starts "I'm a pretty nice guy..." The original poster has gotten him/herself booted out of the Army for what they originally wrote.

But why would anyone take a post from Facebook and post it someplace else? Don't people have better things to do with their time?

I don't see anything wrong with that first post....looks to me like some sort of a joke.
They probably lost a good soldier.

Read the last post by "SPC" and you will see that this was not a one-time joke; and the person posted this diatribe while their FB pic was of them in uniform.

There have been a number of stories in the news to be careful what you post on FB as it can ruin your chances of employment or terminate the job you already have.

An angry soldier is a good soldier.

An angry soldier can also be a stupid soldier.

Anyone dumb enough to post ignorance like that given the UCMJ is not a soldier I want in my unit.

And, as evidenced by the last post in that FB thread, is now OUT of the unit. ;):)

I really used to have alot of respect for Oz Special Forces. I guess I still do, its just the regular Oz military that obey without thought or conscience.
