Today is Kayleigh's fourth birthday! When I left the house this morning, she was rapidly chewing her way through a huge rawhide. I'll take her for a long run when I get home tonight. She's come a long way in a pretty short time. We've had her for 18 months now. Shortly after we adopted her, we considered putting her down as she was beating up all our other dogs and did some damage to my husband's hand. It's been over a year since she showed any signs of aggression. We finally figured out that she just needed her own space where she didn't have to worry about other dogs taking her toys or her food. She was badly deprieved by her first owner. She's gained 30 pounds and is finally at the weight she should be. She's become the big, happy, goofy girl we knew was in there.
