He is quite handsome! Such different markings, very striking.

I loved the videos, watching him explore. Didn't take him long to decide ketchup is good, let me in this fridge thingey! He he heeee

Great to see him exploring and the dog didn't worry him at all.

I forget (sorry!), what's with the vinegar? He didn't seem to like it at all, yet he came back for more?

Thanks for sharing his arrival with us!

Day three http://www.livingwithanteaters.com/2010/06/eldorado-day-three.html

Pua is not thrilled with him yet.

The vinegar helps replace acid in their diet. Ants and termites have a lot of acid so anteaters don't have stomach acid. I think he likes it he tried it again yesterday but they are used to sniffing as they eat and I think he snorts it up his nose causing that reaction. It took Pua some time to figure it out too. She'd be drinking then smack her vinegar with a claw like it bit her.

I love his markings. It looks like he's wearing a vest backwards. :D

Oh, NOW I get it! Aw, Pua got attacked by her vinegar way back when she was learning, how funny, I have the image in my mind now, he heee.

Thank you.

He drank some vinegar from the bottle with no problem as it keeps his nose out of it and he has to just lick it up.
