We've been in a smoky haze with air quality alerts in effect since mid-afternoon. Smoke from wildfires about 300 miles north of Montreal are responsible. We are waiting for the winds to change direction!

Here in my city, calls came in to the Fire Dept asking, "where's the fire?" Answer: "North of Montreal!"

we had terrible air quality here in NH today too! Its a little bit funny because we opened the windows first thing this morning, and immediately my kitchen turned all smoky. And I got UGLY about it, blaming our neighbors for burning trash, again! But then one of my friends posted about the wildfires on Facebook, and it all made sense...it wasn't our neighbors after all. :p

The fires are north of Three Rivers, Quebec, where, coincidentally, I may have some relatives still, as that's vaguely where my grandmother's parents lived before they moved to Massachusetts. We had a haze all day, and air quality warnings. I am looking forward to the expected rain.
