There is a lady I know who might be pregnant. She is 57, they will redo the test in a couple of days.
She had her tubes tied years ago.
57 and expecting, that is almost too diffiult to imagine.
By the time the baby is two she will be 60, when child is ten she will be 70.
I hope the second test comes out negitive for her sake.
What a difficult decision to face...........

I have never heard of a woman getting pregnant at that age without medical help. And her tubes were tied years ago? Prayers on the way for her, whatever the results may be.

From what you have posted, it doesn't sound planned. I hope she will make the best of the situation. There could be far, far, far worst things than being "old" with a young child...KWIM?

57 and pregnant??? Kill me now!! I wouldn't THINK of doing dirty diapers, midnight feedings, etc. That is unless it's a friend's kid that I can give back to.

UGH!!! I can't even imagine. I have a hard enough time trying to keep up with the grandkids, let alone having one of my own to care for 24/7! My energy and patience decreases as my age increases.

Hoping your friend gets the results she's hoping for, which ever way it goes for her.

I have no idea what she will do. Her periods are every other month so maybe her hormons are out of whack and it is showing a falsh positive. We will know Friday I believe when they retake the test.
I know what I would do in her shoes and let me just say I would not be having this at 57, or even 47.
Been a mom for 32 years and I know what it means. NO way my friends NO way.

I m with you on that one Mary and i still have a 17 yr old, i would have thought she would be in menopause at that age, and that would explain the on-off period situation, she certainly is late for it,but surely that is an explanation, well hope she is ok, and i think one might safely say this news is a blessing in disguise?

Must be such a relief to know she won't be doing the baby thing at 57. Hope the results of the tests will be okay.
