On the Radio again - This Evening, Friday

Today I will be on the radio show, on a program called All Paws Pet Talk that airs in Florida. I don't know what will happen, I may only be on for a few minutes, but it is WTAN 1340 AM, between 7 and 8 p.m. It is a call-in show, if anyone is in that area, and I'll be talking about Pet of the Day, Dog of the Day and Cat of the Day!

It has been a while since I have been on the radio, so this should be interesting!

I heard it. Karen was on in 2nd quarter. Did well. Much easier to listen to Karen than the moderator. Of course, I'm prejudiced.

I didn't know what to expect. I was only on for 5 minutes, but hopefully some people heard about Pet of the Day, Dog of the Day and Cat of the Day! I'll be on another show of theirs on Sunday, from a different Florida station, so hopefully that will go even better, and they will have me on again!

Karen just finished her part of the show and it was great. 15 minutes about our favorite websites and including our favorite story of Kia and Kimmy. :)

The Rottweiler you mentioned... was that Carrie's (Salisbury Plain) dog? What happened with her, btw? Are you still in contact?

No, it was Jade (http://DogoftheDay.com/archive/2001/March/18.html) from Norfolk. Carrie still does post from time to time, usually in the Dog Behavior forum when she does. Her kids are older now, and she's having to do more to keep up with their activities!

I read Jade's story, what an exeptional sweet dog. Did his family ever join PT? I wonder if he's still alive.

Keep in mind mother was an English teacher, so sloppy pronunciation was NOT allowed around the house. I am sure some people think I have an accent, but don't believe what you hear from the "Boston" accents you see portrayed on TV or in movies - they nearly always butcher it. And as I never even visited New York City until I was 17, you'll not find any of THAT accent here!

I've noticed a lot of new members lately. Do you attribute that to being on the show? :)

We've not had a big influx, there hasn't been a big increase yet, but we never know where new folks come from!

It's about the time of year that kids get out of school for the summer, and we tend to get a bunch of new folks in the mid-May through June time period most years, but hey, as long as everyone plays nice, we'll take everyone!
