In honor of Mother's Day, I thought it would be nice for everyone to post a picture of their mom and maybe a favorite time or memory. So whether she's in a special part of your memory or if you're fortunate enough to still have her with you, post your pics. I have one I can add later tonight or tomorrow. I look forward to seeing pics and reading stories.

Here is a pic of my Mom. Not a great pic of her.

She has dementia now. This picture was back before she got so bad. She is one of the most awesome people I've ever known. She is my hero.

I don't have any pics online since she passed away some time ago. I do plan on taking flowers to her graveside tomorrow. I have a lot of fond memories but her best qualities were her sense of humor and her love of people. She never met a stranger.

I don't have a pic of my mum online, but she is alive and well and enjoying life in a wonderful home near the beach. She says that she likes to live alone now that dad has gone....so we just visit now and again, and let her get on with life.
I will tell you a memory of mine tho............

In 1960 my mother took me to day one of High School for the first day induction. I was 12 years old and my mother was 28 years old.....yep...my mother was 16 when I was born.
A very cheeky schoolteacher came up to me and whispered in my ear if I would kindly introduce him to my sister. :D:D

blue, your mom looks like a total lady - natural humour, grace, elegance, and tops in the brains department!

Crystal, your mom is just stunning. I think one would always remember having met her, no matter how briefly.

Lut - I can't believe it is over a year already for your loss. She looks like a sweet loving lady. {{{{hugs}}}} to you.

I love seeing all the other moms, too. Happy Mother's Day to the moms still with us, and those who have passed on...and to the daughters who are mothers too.

happylabs...TOO FUNNY!!!:D

The first picture is me & my beautiful mom riding in the back seat of the car on the way to Michigan (hubby was chauffeuring;))

The second one is one that Amy (Cincy's mom) took while we were on a track walk at Charlotte. My mom is talking to Joey Logano (the youngest Sprint Cup driver) and asking him to sign her shirt. I just  that she enjoys going to races with us:)

The third picture-last year while my mom was up she decided after years of wanting a eyebrow piercing she'd finally get one! Yep, my 62 year old mom got a piercing! She's awesome:D

I LOVE MY MOM!

I'm Late to the party but oh well.

These are all from Christmas of 2007.

The first 2 are family shots. Mom is center in both.

Third one is all the ladies that had a hand in raising me. (Mom, G-ma, Aunt Carol with my aunts Mary and Erma trying to hide in the back)

The last one is Mom being Mom. I have no idea where I get my sense of humor from.

This is from our trip to Ten Chimneys (summer home of Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne in Genesee Depot, Wisconsin), September '09. She's 77 and this picture was taken a couple of days after my 43rd birthday.

This is a very old picture of my mum taken when she came to visit me in Malaysia in 1971. She loved to travel as do I! Sadly she died in 1981 and I still miss her every day!

Then we probably played cricket with you .. our RAF/RMAF team used to travel from Kinrara near KL to play against Butterworth. Always a really fun trip :) We used to enjoy the fish and chips from the Sydney cafe out on a small jetty in the sea at Batu Ferringhi too!

What lovely pictures... and stories.. So much LOVE here!

I don't have any pictures of my mother (who died 11 years ago on her 78th birthday) to post.. Maybe I can find some film pictures to have digital copies made.

One of the nicest memories of my mother is how much she loved the music from Broadway shows. She had records of all her favorites that she played during the days as she did her housework. As my siblings and I were growing up, we were accompanied by songs from "My Fair Lady," "Oklahoma!," "South Pacific," ... many others I'm not thinking of right now. Ever since, whenever I hear one of these familiar melodies, I smile and remember Mom.

Nope, never played cricket there at all. I think the RAAF guys did, but us army guys were always too busy.
