So now I have this wonderful, beautiful statue.
I finally got up the nerve to go cancel the layaway on the original one.
I felt odd about it for a reason, and I was right - no one was nasty, but the lady who ran the place (with her husband) said that maybe I didn't have the same one - that I wouldn't get my $20 back, and that I could get even longer on the layaway so I didn't lose my $20. She was offering this in a mama-wisdom kind of way.
so.
What I am thinking of doing is just buying it and trying to sell it on Craigslist or something. I have some steady monthly income now.
I don't even mind losing the $20. But I would really have to push it.
(mind you, the one I have is made in China, though it is fantastic...maybe the one at the store is one that was made at the original shop in England?)
I have til the end of September now. They could extend the layway til Christmas.
Any ideas?
