A man killed his girlfriend's chihuahua by kicking it. He's up on charges and his first hearing is Monday. Here's the story:

Please cross post widely and encourage people to attending his hearing at Middlesex Superior Court on Monday.

Court begins at 10AM and demonstrations OUTSIDE are needed to make it very clear to the judge that the community will not tolerate these acts of violence. Remember you cannot demonstrate in any way inside the court.

If enough people attend the media will likely cover it and keep this case in the spotlight. Please let me know if you can attend so I can tell if we have enough people to contact the media.

Thank you in advance for any help.

MIDDLETOWN — Police charged a 23-year-old man with cruelty to animals Thursday after he allegedly kicked his girlfriend’s 2-year-old Chihuahua, killing the animal.

Victor Serrano, of 1222 Town Colony Drive, is being held in lieu of $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Monday.

Serrano’s girlfriend allegedly called police around 11 a.m. and said that he had killed her pet.

When police arrived on the scene, they found a dead Chihuahua. Police said they found through subsequent investigation that Serrano had struck the dog.

Hey Donna, What happened at the hearing? Was there a decent turnout for this poor little dog?

Update:

After being charged, police informed Serrano that he is to have no contact with his girlfriend and doing so could result in additional charges.

He is free after posting a $25,000 bond. Serrano is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges April 15.
