Wom, what is a 77th foot button? Please tell me what makes this button special - is it from a soldier's uniform? Will you use it as a button, or display it as part of your collection? You really should have your own gallery. I'll come for the ribbon-cutting!

British Infantry Regiments before 1881 were called Foot Regiments, and were designated numbers (usually to signify from what area they were from)
The 77th foot were an Infantry Regiment from East Middlesex.
The number 77 was displayed on their hat badge, and their buttons.

These are a couple of 77th Foot items I have already............

When I'm satisfied that I have enough items of a particular regiment, I'll mount them on felt, and frame them.
