For those who have PAX and love Golden Retrievers,
there's a new show, Sue Thomas:F.B.-Eye, that you
might want to check out.

The premise of the show is that she's a deaf FBI agent that's
assisted by a hearing dog, who's an abused rescue Golden
Retriever. Normally I thought they used smaller dogs for hearing
service dogs, but it's suppose to be based on a true story,
so either they took creative license or she really uses a Golden.

The plot and acting are a lil' on the weak side, but the
Golden Retriever is adorable and steals every scene he's
in. It's on Sundays at 8pm Central Time on PAX.

Thanks Par! I missed it last night. I'll make sure I watch it next week! I saw the preview few days ago, but I completely forgot that it's showing on SUnday. Thanks for the reminder!

Sue Thomas and FBI
and got some good info about Sue. She is now a public speaker and Levi is real.
I had a deaf employee for many years and a lot of the show was on target. However, deaf drivers must have and use mirrors so they would know when a cops car with flashing light was behind them.
I agree, a lot of the story line was hokey.

hola freckles!

So Levi is a Golden in real life too? I always thought
they liked to use the smaller dogs for hearing, so
I was surprised they used a Golden. I had a bet
going with a friend that it was gonna be a JRT, since
they seem to be the dog of choice in almost everything
you see anymore. So I was actually glad to see it
was a Golden, just for a change of pace.

That's TONIGHT!!

I'll especially be watching for that TDD (Telecommunication Device for Deaf) where a person speaks into it and words are displayed at the other end. Usually doesn't work that way. Maybe it's just showbiz.

It will be fun seeing that golden again!

Oh, gosh, I just overheard an ad for an upcoming interview with the "real" Sue! If I find out when, I'll let you know. The show sounds great. And I had no idea of the premise! I'll be sure to watch.
