Filou had a wonderful Christmas. He received many gifts but what he liked best was the catnip fishie his friend Edwina sent him. Can you imagine it was a card for him all alone?
He has his paw firmly on the fishie.

For those who wonder how he is after Tigris is gone: he loves to be a single cat- but he has lost a little weight. As there is no competition he doesn't eat as much as we want him to. Obviously his joints are not the best anymore. Instead of jumping he prefers to climb- which means he climbs you like a tree. Don't ask where we have all these tiny needle spots
Filou sleeps a lot but he is happy- and that is the most important thing.
We miss our Tigris very much. This is why I had a gift for Siegmar that was a big surprise for him: a mailbox. It is handpainted by a Dresden painter with the pictures of Filou and Tigris. We think that she got Tigris especially well.
It is a German style mailbox together with a roll for the newspaper:

Tigris sits behind a curtain with little lace cat heads;)

This is a detail of the roof- in reality it almost looks three dimensional:

We love it very much and will put it on the house soon :)
