It feels like such a long time since I last posted. Thought I would stop in and check up on everyone. ;)The last 8 months have been so busy with dealing with Rob's recovery from his car accident and now the pending court case.

Plus, our wedding is right around the corner. :)

And, a pic of my wedding band (sorry, not a cat pic)! I've been searching for two months for a ring similar to my grandmother's and this one is close in style and comes from the same era. It arrived this week and I took this photo. I can't wait to wear it! :D

How could I ever 'leave' PT when I get comments like these? Thanks everyone! :) I never left, just life is too busy. Plus, I just started a new job and will be doing quite a bit of business travel so probably won't have much time for the forums in the future as well. But, I'll pop by when I can. ;)


How is Rob doing now?



He has two permanent herniated discs in his neck from the accident. If he ever is in another collision, the doc warned that there could be permanent paralysis because of his current injuries. At the time of the accident he had little feeling on his left side of his body from the neck down to his waist. It's been 9 months since the accident and he's lost probably about 50% of his muscles on the left side - therapy is slowly bringing it back but we're not sure if he'll ever regain the same muscle pre-accident. He was just approved another 14 sessions for physio along with a TMJ therapist who is also working the neck/jaw muscles.

We're keeping our fingers crossed that the insurance will also approve a personal fitness trainer. When you lose that much muscle mass on your body you need a specialist to guide you through the right training to try to regain it back properly.

It's been a long haul and we're hoping the case is settled out of court. An 18 wheeler hit him from behind and then dragged him into an intersection - it's a pretty open and shut case. The court case won't start until the majority of therapy is complete and they have exhausted all medical options. At that point, you then sue for any loss and suffering.

Me, not take pictures? Ha!:D I'm going down with both cameras and will be my own photographer. Real photographers wanted $2k to start for a 2 hour shoot and I'm not willing to put out that money - the trip is costing us enough.

We're planning a simple sunset ceremony in St Lucia - actually situated on the side of a mountain and have our own small plantation villa with pool. I'll start a thread when I return and will post pics. :)

My grandmother passed away when I was in my teens, so I wanted a ring similar to her ring. I'm happy with it. :)

OMG Kass! Great to "see" you post an update! Gosh, that accident sounds terrible, but I'm glad you have folks helping Rob with the physical therapy. How scary! I certainly hope everything goes well with the case and that 2010 brings you both nothing but goodness and happiness! As always, the pictures are great! Your fur-babies are so so sweet I could just kiss them! I can't wait to hear more about your upcoming wedding and of course see the pics! I love the ring! It's so pretty! *grins*
