It was close to freezing, I left the cat litter bow outdoors and the water on top froze. 34?

One pot roast!

The DOTD?

Baby Eskimo recipe

2 oz Kahlua® coffee liqueur
8 oz milk
2 scoops vanilla ice cream

Leave ice-cream out for about 10 minutes. Add ingredients in order, stir with chopstick (butter knife or spoon works too). Consume immediately and often. Nice and light, great for following a heavy drink.

I'll take an Irish coffee (with whipped cream on top and a sprinkle of creme de menthe over that. . .the green kind that you can see!)

Then I'll have a hot flash because it's like 82 degrees here. We had the a/c on last night!

I'm NOT dreaming of a white Christmas!! :p

Hmmm, not too cold here yet - by our standards, anyway, but it's supposed to be cold and very windy tomorrow, so temperatures will "feel like" the teens, instead of the upper twenties they will actually be!

Bartender, I've brought a big pot of hot chocolate - made with extra chocolate, a bit of coffee, and some cinnamon. And I'll contribute some shortbread cookies - some just plain and some chocolate/chocolate chip. They're not very sweet, but nice and rich, and I'm happy to share.

Hey, Richard isn't just a kiddin' about the California weather. I walked out on my deck to go to work and almost went arse over teakettle on the ice crystals.

Soooo - a large very hot coffee - with a generous amount of Bailey's will thaw me out and get the day going.

How about this . . .

An Irishman , a Mexican and a Blonde Guy were doing construction work on scaffolding on the 20th floor of a building.

They were eating lunch and the Irishman said, 'Corned beef and cabbage! If I get corned beef and cabbage one more time for lunch, I'm going to jump off this building.'

The Mexican opened his lunch box and exclaimed, 'Burritos again! If I get burritos one more time I'm going to jump off, too.'

The blonde opened his lunch and said, ' Bologna again! If I get a bologna sandwich one more time, I'm jumping too.'

The next day, the Irishman opened his lunch box, saw corned beef and cabbage, and jumped to his death.

The Mexican opened his lunch, saw a burrito, and jumped, too.

The blonde guy opened his lunch, saw the bologna and jumped to his death as well.

At the funeral, the Irishman's wife was weeping. She said, 'If I'd known how really tired he was of corned beef and cabbage, I never would have given it to him again!'

The Mexican's wife also wept and said, 'I could have given him tacos or enchiladas! I didn't realize he hated burritos so much.'

Everyone turned and stared at the blonde's wife. The blonde's wife said,

'Don't look at me. The idiot makes his own lunch.'

Good joke. :)

Down to 13ºF here in the morning. BRRR. But we're lucky because its been clear so no ice to deal with.

Transition happens this weekend when Pacific weather is due to scour out our Artic Blast. I'm sipping on a pumpkin-spice latte at the moment, so adding some baileys sounds like a most exellent idea.

For lunch, anyone want some a bowl of hot chili?

**knock knock**
Anybody awake??? Awww, look at Orc snoring away on Phred's lap.
I'd better sneak in quietly tonight.

Things did not go well at work today. I made a major, major screwup. I stayed at work until 10:30pm trying to make it right. Have to go in tomorrow afternoon to finish the job. When all is said and done, we will lose a days work. Heads will roll, including mine. This is the second screwup I've made in the last few months. I know that both of them will show up on my performance appraisal next month. :( Ay yi yi yi yi....why don't they just give me a 2 year package, say good-bye and I won't let the door hit my arse on the way out.:(

I've hired a personal trainer and tomorrow he's coming to give me my first workout. His name is Stuart and I think he looks good in spandex......;) After he's done with me I have to go in to work.

In the meantime, I think I'll whip together a batch of slushies. I need to sit back and recall happy times......

Until tomorrow folks......

The catches to a warm November are that cold germs and leaf mold spores survive a lot longer without a hard freeze, people have been sicker, and when the cold temps finally hit, folks were caught a bit off guard!

At least we still have a little snow still on the ground after yesterday's hard rain ...
