I was a little stunned when I read this story, Both sides have valid points, but both side are way too dumb to realize it.

I'm not entirely sure what to think honestly. People DO have rights but at the same time how much can you condone teen pregnancy, which is riskier as is.

Wait a minute - her mother wants the school system to "NURTURE PREGNANT ATHLETES"??!! I know it's a fact of life, but let's not take this too far; they're SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD CHILDREN! I think the mother is on another planet.

The school had every right to obtain doctor's permission and to limit her playing time. She is a child under their care who has put herself in a precarious position. The bottom line is-they are responsible for her health and well being while participating in school activities.

The coach ABSOLUTELY DID NOT have the right to disclose ANY health information and should be disciplined for that action.

There's my two cents.

Agree 100% - couldn't have said it better :)
