I get tons of spam every day. Many from "dear friends," and someone claiming to be the lawyer/solicitor/representative of a person with my last name - only they never even both to mention the last name!

I get those every day; they usually start w/the word "Dearest". I don't even open them any more but once in a while, one catches my eye, usually the ones that say she's dying and wants to leave me her money. (I'm so lucky!) I write back "Well, have a nice death". Doesn't stop them, though.

ETA: I just received an email from Bill Gates! Seems he wants to share his wealth w/me and he's going to give me 9 mil. All I need to do is give him all my pertinent personal info. What a guy!

I get so sick of all of these. I can't believe anyone would fall for any of these scams. I get bombarded every day!

I get them from dying widows with no children

Kids with no parents who want me to be their "legal guardian" and help them get their money. Of course they will pay me well for this

Military overseas who found millions stashed in barrels on Sadam's property

The FBI telling me that this person in Nigeria is legit and I can send info to him

Bank of America needing me to reset my info in my accounts because someone is trying to access them. DUH!!! I've never had any account with BOA

Paypal needing me to update - same reason as BOA

The "honest" hoodlums warning me not to deal with previous hoodlums who are just trying to take my money

Administrator of my email account. My mailbox is nearing capacity and they need my i.d. and password so they can reset it. Of course if I don't do this, they will be forced to shut my account down in 5 days. Oh no!!! - I'm just shaking in my boots...:p

These are just a few that come to mind. And there's nothing that irritates me more, than to receive the ones that start out with "Dearest", or "This may come as a surprise to you" blah-blah-blah. Oh sure - I'm just so freakin surprised........:rolleyes::rolleyes:

This is SATIRE, ok?

Several years ok, some smarty created a website for an upcoming "Nigerian Email Conference" to be held in 2003. It still exists for "attendees" to view the report of the conference.

I must be unloved, I never get nigerian scam emails!! Waaahhh. lol

Actually of the spam I do get (which actually isn't much) I never open any of them in case that triggers a virus or something. All mine seem to be determined to hook me up with a hot girl and get me a free 30 day supply of viagra to help on the date apparently. LOL I'm sure they think they're emailing a guy, or hoping at least but it is bizarre to say the least.
