I have always loved the Visualize Whirled Peas bumper sticker.

What a time to invoke that thought!

Let me look for a green drink recipe, I need one.:D

Other than an appletini, I can't think of a green drink recipe, but might I suggest split pea soup with bacon for lunch?

Green eggs(are they boiled :p) and ham for breakfast?

And possibly chicken enchiladas with salsa verde for an entree?

Toss in some mint green sugar cookies for dessert, and I think we've got a menu! (An odd menu, but a menu nonetheless!)

I found a nice green cocktail!
Watermelon Green-tini

2 oz local watermelon puree
2 oz vodka
1 oz champagne
1 tsp mint, finely diced
1 cup ice

Directions

Add the watermelon puree, vodka, mint, and ice into a shaker.
Shake vigorously.
Pour in martini glass (without ice).
Top off with champagne.

Sound like a winner?:)

The names of the paint in our house are hilarious...
The living room is "Nurture", it's a VERY light bluish jade - really just a whisper of color. The dining room is Paris Rose, the main part of the house and family room are "Indulgent Mocha" (light taupe), the kitchen, funny you should mention it, is Tart Apple Green!! :) It's sponge painted with white. OH- our bedroom and bath are painted "Spa". It's light aqua - what the heck is "SPA"???

In honour of today's event, I would like the following please:

The Earthquake Cocktail.
1 jigger gin (I use Bombay Sapphire.)
1 jigger whiskey (I use Old Overholt Rye; try any rye, Canadian or Bourbon.)
1 jigger absinthe (Use the real stuff from Europe if you can get it; otherwise use Herbsaint, Pernod or Ricard).
Shake well and serve in a chilled cocktail glass. You might also want to try standing in a doorway when you drink it (so that you can steady yourself easily).

November 17, 1973

Nixon insists that he is not a crook
On this day in 1973, in the midst of the Watergate scandal that eventually ended his presidency, President Richard Nixon tells a group of newspaper editors that he is "not a crook."
(source: history.com)

So, may I please have one of these: The Nixon
The Nixon was created by Joe Gilmore, the Head Barman of the American Bar at the Savoy Hotel in London, to mark American President Richard Nixon's visit to Britain in 1969. The cocktail was mixed at the American bar and then sent to Claridge’s where Nixon was staying.
Ingredients
1/2 Bourbon whiskey
1/2 Sloe gin
2 dashes Peach Bitters
Stir and serve on the rocks, decorated with a slice of fresh peach and a cherry.
