There was a knock on my door and I opened it, there stood Santa Mike with his arms full.. (I thought immediately of Gary when he told me the story behind what he had brought.) He had stopped to visit a friend, there was a dumpster nearby, sitting on the ground by there dumpster were these two items. He thought of my babies and snatched them up and brought them to me..

Giz was the first to check it out but she was not impressed at all.. Amy was second and she liked the scratching part and did a long stretch up to scratch... But Samantha went nuts over it. By her reaction, we think it was loaded with some wicked cat nip. She loved on it from the bottom up for a long time and would not leave it. Mike and I just about died laughing at her. She stayed on it, even as I took it into the hall way to put in front of the window there..

The bed is a nice plush one, Amy was the only one interested in that but it tipped over with her so I doubt she will use it much.

Both of these items look like new, they were hardly used...There was no cat hair on the perch at all. Mike washed the bed before he brought it to me.

One mans trash is another mans treasure, right Gary?

Wonderful finds!

My cats love their climbing trees. Sometimes when I bring a new item in, it takes a day or so for the cats to admit it is even in the house. So just wait and see, the others will discover how neat it is sitting and looking out THEIR window!

Amy just may figure out how to deal with that bed, she is full of surprises!

I live in a large apartment complex and one time I found a six-foot kitty tree out by the trash, near new. Lugged that puppy home! I was just wasting an afternoon at the Salvation Army once and bought a huge, comfy, new, cat bed for a buck. Ming claimed that one and still uses it! Ah yes, free or near free is the way to go!

Those are very nice gifts and your babies (or, maybe I should say the models of the gifts) are beautiful! Hello, Laura's Babies!

I am sure that's what the person who left them intended - rather than put them INside the dumpster, he left them outside to be discovered and rescued. Good job Santa Mike!
