Unfortunately I have found myself without an apt, I am staying with family and my Cats cannot come with me and they cannot stay where they are.

I am in NYC. I am looking for a foster home for them because I'd hate to give them up. But I will consider a good home if it's presented.

If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,
Erek

I will ask around - a woman I worked with moved to NYC a couple months ago, and another has friends there ...

could you give us more information? Like, How many cats are we talking about? Are they neutered? Have they been tested and came out negative for FIV AND FeLV. these things will be important to a prospective foster home, especially if the home already has cats. In the mean time, you could contact any local shelters that may have foster homes available. Check www.petfinder.com to find organizations that are in an area you'd be willing to travel to.

Ok, for some reason I couldn't post for a couple of days. I appreciate any help. I am down to the wire here and need to find a place for my longhaired cat because he is really aggravating someone's allergies.

In answer to your question, the little one has not been neutered, but he's not really the issue. It seems like we may be finding a place for him. The big one is neutered. They are both vaccinated and have had all their tests. We have records for them both.

Well thank you for your help, but it looks like it's not an issue. Giving them up for adoption is not necessary, I posted some threads on some boards/lists I belong to and people I know or am at least aquainted with popped out of the woodwork, so I don't need to give my kitty up. Which is very reassuring.

Erek :) ;) :D :p

Great news! Hope things work out and you can get them back with you in the near future.

Good luck! :)
