Calling all Catmobile Passengers to Chicago - Nov. 21

For the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival! Kitties, we know we have asked you to come to Chicago several times and we hope you won't mind returning once more. The parade is on November 21 on North Michigan AVenue -- the "Magnificent Mile". We can park the Catmobile right along the parade route! There might be mounted police officers, if anyone wants to say hello to horses again. Please come if you can. My meowmie apologizes for the short notice.

We haven't seen them in a while! Could Winnie make her first trip? She should be properly introduced. Maybe Lady Edwina could make sure she's properly taken care of and versed in the fashions of the Windy City.... Groucho - are we set?

Juke Joint Joseph has made reservations for Himself and All The Found Cats to be with thier Loved Ones in the Banquet room of the Mortons which is HH Edwina Roses Favorite!!!
They were be Steaks galore and an Iniation for Dear Golden Rod who passed away so sadly.:(
All in all a Fun Time in the Windy City with All Night Long Parties in The Finest Chicago Hotel and Parties in the Finest Chicago Shopping Malls!!

Has everyone rested up from our exciting trip to the World Series? Meowmie and Soncat still mention it at times.

Cassie, how are you today? I would like to thank you and your Meowmie for your kind invitation. There's always something happening in Chicago, it must be a fun place to live!

Hi Pinot! How is everything in Ellicot City? It was no surprise to see that you're already working with the maps for this trip. Catmobile adventures could never happen without all of your hard work!

Okay everyone, the local Jaguar dealer said the Catmobile will be tuned up and oil changed in time for us to head out to Chicago. With not much time, we need to know who's coming so Pinot can make sure everybody will have a ride. The purralegal at Cat Court said she will again arrange a flight for those of you flying in but needs to know who needs to catch the plane so arrangements can be made. Anyone coming in by Amtrak to Trenton will be picked up at the train station. Also, Meowmie needs to know how much fried chicken and crab legs to order for us.

Meowmie is cooking shrimp for dinner tonight so I must go in the kitchen to supervise (and make her drop a few on the floor for my consumption). Every kitty is welcome.....Sophie and Aroara, chime in here. MooShoo, do you think you can get another keg? I'll e-mail my lovely Inka about going. I'll also contact Miss Kirsten about Lily and Luna joining in the fun.

Aroara here! I'm on board. I think I can catch a cheap flight from BNA into Midway. Just checking to see if a pick up could be arranged there. If not, I'll check prices to O'Hare. Is there anything that I can bring this time or do to help with arrangements. Everyone was so nice to me on the last trip, I'd love to help make others' trip fun. My mum talks about a trip to Chicago where she went with some of her friends. They went to this museum where my aunt wanted to see a famous doll house or something. Mum says that they spent a big part of their day watching eggs hatch! How funny those humans are. I'll start packing right away. Let me know if there is anything I can to to help!

And the Awesome Angels took Golden Rod to the Lone Star so there will be Fajitas , a Cup of Cheese and Lots of Salsa Chips to munch on during the trip along with Mexican Fried Ice Cream and Lots of Pet Food borrowed from the local PetsMart.

OK - Kitties, arrangements are set. This will be a quick trip, so we won't need any special provisions (unlike the World Series trip - that was SOME TRIP-longest yet!), so you can pack light. We'll be staying in the Catmobile-bring your pillow!

We'll arrive in Chicago (with a fully stocked Catmobile; thanks Groucho & Mom!) on Friday, the 20th, for a dinner at Morton's (by request of the Found Cats in Catada). We have a spot reserved on Heron, which is halfway down the Parade route, right at the corner of Michigan Avenue. The mounted police horsies have us on their radar, so we'll be well taken care of. On Saturday, we'll be taken out for breakfast by none other than the Master of Ceremonies for the Parade - Mickey Mouse! Won't that be special! After breakfast, we'll take a walk over to the stages and listen to some music. There will be cheesecake demonstrations by Eli's Cheesecake (yum!) with samples! We'll enjoy some other goodies throughout the afternoon at the Signature Room's chef demonstration of holiday treats. Then it's on to the parade - the lights, and the fireworks! We'll close the evening with a special meal, then its nighty nite in the Catmobile.
Sunday morning we'll begin with our prayer breakfast, then on to the shops for a little while (they'll all have special holiday deals) and we'll be on the road Sunday afternoon.

Hi fellow kitties!

Sorry for the delay getting back to all of you. I've been trying to finish up a few things at Cat Court and I'm helping Meowmie with a complicated case she has at work.

The Catmobile will be here late tomorrow afternoon. Soncat will help me pack it up. I'm thinking of maybe leaving Thursday morning so we can have a nice, relaxing trip to Chicago. What do you think? Pinot, does that work for you?

Aroara, you can bring whatever you would like to share with everyone. When it comes to snacks, we're not a picky bunch. I'm so happy that you'll be joining us again.

For anyone who wants to come but hasn't checked in yet, there's still time. Just call or e-mail Pinot or me. Anyone coming by plane, the charter flight can still pick you up but we need to know by tomorrow.

Cassie, what should we bring to wear? Is it cold in Chicago? Do we need jackets or raingear?

I got a cryptic e-mail from Aroara saying that had talked to the queen of talk shows and knew a secret.

Yes, as usual Cassie's Mom took good care of us! We were all warm and well fed last night and gossiping away! JJJ is hoping his Lady Edwina will join us for the dinner at Morton's tonight; he misses her. We all miss Eddie's jokes, too - maybe they'll both surprise us there!

We did stop by and get a scoop from the queen of talk shows, but we're sworn to secrecy. Some of the details have gotten out, but it wasn't from us!! Her pups might be making a special visit to the Catmobile this evening after dinner. They're aware of where the Catmobile will be, and they'll have the mounted police escort.

Don't worry, we're all fine and well fed. We'll keep in touch!

Pinot checking in here...did Lady Edwina make an entrance at Morton's OR WHAT?? You could have picked JJJ's tongue up off the floor when his sweetheart swept into that restaurant swishing that tail! I was so glad I kept that secret; it was priceless!! Dinner was great - then we all settled into the Catmobile in our new parking spot (with our horsie escorts, of course) and Oprah's pups stopped by for some apres dinner fun!

Then this morning! Breakfast with the one and only Mickey Mouse!! He gave us a scoop on the parade...can't tell that, either! Ah well - time to get set for the parade - we're all fine and having a great time! Thanks for letting us come to Chicago!! :)

The kitty kids stopped in on their way to the parade. It's been a lovely day for November in Chicago, sunny and 57F, but I think Edwina's coat will come in handy after the sun sets. The Catmobile didn't need anything, so I just collected their trash and gave their litter pans a quick scoop, and the kitty kids headed out again.

Well, Pinot is home after her big adventure in Chi-town! She's busy napping - such a trip!! She saw her sweetheart Roco, Edwina made a surprise entrance :), there was lots of good food (as usual), Sparkler and Aroara seem to have made a lifetime friendship, Mickey Mouse was a great host for breakfast, the parade was fantastic... I'd like to personally thank Cassie and her Mom for providing for the kitties. Lady Edwina gave lots of advice shopping this morning. Sounds like a great trip - Pinot says "see you on the next one kitties - goodnight!"...:)

Shortly after Groucho arrived home he got a phone call and had to rush over to Cat Court. It must have been a late night because he was sound asleep this morning and didn't even open his eyes when his dish was filled.

He did say that everyone had a dynamite time in Chicago; Mickey Mouse, Oprah, great food, and wonderful hospitality with Cassiesmom. The puppy dogs loved the Catmobile with all the comforts. I hear there's a rumor going that Oprah's puppy dogs might join in on a Catmobile trip. Hmm.....
