What great pictures! It looks like everyone had so much fun!! Where did you all go? I have to say that Kia is one striking dog!! She's gorgeous and you can tell that she is loved very much:)

Thank you! :) This was a crowning achievement.... Kia's first trip to the dog park, she jumped in and freaked out. (AdoreMyDogs was there)

I didn't think she'd ever like the water again but she's quickly getting the hang of it. :D

That is so cool!! This is one of the many things that I have to look forward to when I get a dog!! I'm glad that Kia is enjoying the water now! I love the idea of Bark Parks! That is great! There is a little fenced in picnic area across the street from my home, and I have seen several neighbors go in and close all of the gates and let their dogs run together. I get misty eyed and smile at them when I see them there when I pull into my driveway after work. What a nice way for dog people to bond and for the precious poochies to have fun too!!

Definitely submit some photos of Kia...they are great! She's gorgeous! I'm so glad that you have her:)

Those are GREAT pictures of Kia and swimming! It looks like so much fun!!

Malone isn't crazy about swimming, either, but we are taking it slowly and not forcing anything. Last time we were at the beach, I just went wading with him, and he seemed to like that a lot better than jumping all the way in!

Those pics are so great . I really like the close up of Kia getting out the water with all the water pouring off of her.

Felice tried to swim once but she has such a thick coat (think Akita) that she sunk. And then weighed so much she could hardly pull her self out of the water!

Brandy just happened to be a German Shepard puppy that we met there that day. Her owners were trying to teach her to swim but she didn't want to get in the water. She'd watch Kia fetch the toy and when Kia abandoned the water toy to check out some new arrivals, I tossed the toy out into the water a little ways to see what Brandy would do. To our surprise, she went after it. I threw it out a little father each time and every time Brandy would go after it. She was having a blast and her owners were ecstatic. :D

Look, it's a FOX! Lol, that's what that pic reminded me of. I love all of these photos! I looked at them when you first posted them, but I didn't get a chance to reply.

I always enjoy seeing Kia! She is such a beautiful blue-eyed pup! I really like the close up of her getting out of the water too. She looks powerful (except for the expression on her face, lol). That german shepard pup is a real cutie too!

You are so lucky to have a park like this nearby! I don't even have a dog park within 45 minutes of me that I know of!

KIMMY , your dogpics are soooooooooo good ! They tell a whole story to us ! And it is obvious that you love them really very much ! Isn't it fun to have pets ?!! They ask work and caring , but their love they give you in return is so pure and honest !!

Yes, I'm happy Kia got over her fear of the water and goes swimming now. She still hasn't gotten to the point where she'll leap off the dock like other dogs. She'll kinda ease her way down a ramp slowly until she's swimmoing, but at least she's trying!! :)
