There's one that I love, I think it's sundried tomato and basil!

I used to like it, but now I am allergic to every basic ingredient - the chickpeas, the olive oil, the lemon juice so I cannot have it anymore.

I love hummus! I tried to make it myself one time, but to be honest, it wasn't as good as what I can buy. There's a vegetarian restaurant in Copenhagen called "The Green Cellar" they make the absolute best. :)

I must not be getting out and about enough. I never heard of hummus - I had to Google it to find out what is was.

I guess I would try it if it was offered to me, but I don't know that I'd try and make it myself. :p

I do! I have a former co-worker, a vegetarian, who put me onto it. Actually, she is the same person who introduced me to the shelter where I adopted Cassie :D I like Trader Joe's hummus.

 TJ's hummus - the White Bean/Basil is my favorite, but I also like the three-layer combo, tomato/basil, spicy jalapeno and am contemplating trying to make my own.

Nothing better than a vat of hummus and TJ's pumpernickel pretzel sticks - yumm!

I love hummus, and it is SO super easy (and cheap) to make! I haven't yet made the hummus from white beans. It is on my list.

I was always afraid to try it. But Bruce's family has it alot so I tried it and loved it!! I think they also got it at TJ's. They always get the good stuff there. :)

I love hummus! It's great as a dip for pita bread, chips, and falafel and also great as a spread for crackers and sandwiches!! We usually always have some on hand. My favorite kind is just the garlic, but I like all kinds. My husband makes really good hummus and falafel from scratch- we just had some the other night. :D

I LOVE hummus! And I'm the only one in my family that really likes it, so I get to eat most of it myself. Bonus!

Tried it once becuase some friends made some, I think it was the chick pea one. Can't say it tasted bad but it wasn't something I would make. Still prefer peanut butter . Maybe I'd have to let the taste grow on me.

In the store, there are so many different flavors and brands. I didn't like it much when I first tried it. The next time, I loved it. I had to acquire a taste for it for sure. Once I figured out the best flavors and brands, I can't get enough of it. Keep on experimenting, I bet you'll like it.
The one I like the most is in a red, round, short carton--about the diameter of a cool whip bowl. It has a small see through cellophane window on the top. The name escapes me.

I love hummus and there is always a container in my refrigerator. The ingredients sound like they are quite healthy. Roasted red pepper is my favorite flavor, but there is a real spicey one I like too. Occasionally I try other flavors - black olive, garlic.

My husband is fond of hummus; I have only tried one or two, years back, and didn't like it. Maybe I should try again with different flavors!

Side note: LOVE TRADER JOE'S!!:)

I wasn’t aware that there are so many kinds of hummus, there are certainly a lot to choose from here. In the second link are pictures of what it looks like.

The one called Holly's hummus looks a lot like the one I buy, but it could be totally different.

I love Hummus as well.
I picked up some Lemon Hummus at Giant Eagle last week. mmmmm
next is the Vegetable Hummus.
I tried making it once but wasn't near as good as you could buy!

love the stuff.....often use it as the "dressing" on a vegetarian sandwich rather than mayo or mustard.....yummy

Don't know how I missed this 'cause i live on hummus. Red peppers hate me so that's one flavor I have to be wary of, but otherwise, gobble, gobble on crackers, warmed up pita bread from the oven, tostitos, sometimes a heaping tablespoon. I agree with the Trader Joe's aficionados....I stand with my mouth open.

Anyone like Tabouli..did I spell that wrong? Heck..look at the time..:p... I open the lid and dig in!

But, can you Hum-mus a few bars?

That was a sad attempt.;)

Is the name of it Tribe?

i made some over the weekend -with curry and cumin and peanut butter, shallots and garlic.
It is sooo nummy!
I made it a few years ago and don't think I added anything to it - and it was ickky - glad I gave it another go!
I cooked the beans for about 5min and I think that helped with the creaminess.

I might try this recipe as well, tho it technically isn't hummus.

I think it might start with an 'S' but I can't be sure. Tribe does sound familiar.

Very interesting, Staci. PB with the other ingredients. There's a combination I never would have come up with.:)

Staci- I have found that nuking the beans, in the liquid, always make a creamier batch.

I do want to try the white bean hummus, too. The only thing I dislike about making it is the stupid tahini sauce is SO hard to mix well.

debbie mentioned her son's recipe with PB -so I checked the internet and sure enough they recommend PB instead of Tahini! :)
