Just wanted to share, that there is a event going on this weekend - Crocker Park Fall Festival & Fine Art Fair in Westlake, Ohio - Oct. 10 & 11th. I found out that they wanted me to be one of the emerging artists, so, good news!!! My photography will be for sale! Check out my work if you'd like! :)

I also have been invited to accept a free 1 year membership to the guild, which is non-profit, membership organization of professional artists. Guild members can be found throughout North America and Europe. The Guild’s mission is to promote community awareness, understanding and appreciation of the visual arts and to maintain a support network for artists, which provides educational, mentoring and marketing opportunities. It's so exciting! :) Just really looking forward to this weekend and seeing how it works out and I am more interested into meeting other artists!!! :)

For anyone who doesn't know where Westlake, Ohio, is ...
It's suburb of Cleveland - about 12 miles west of the center of Cleveland.

See this site for a pretty good overview of the Festival & Fair, hours,
and MAPS to find it >>>

Rachel sorry I could not find you  I did not know your booth #. Hubby, daughter and I walked up and down several times, I probably stopped and looked but did not know it was you. It was colder then all heck. Hope your sales went well. I did not see a lot of people buying. All I purchased was a pair of earrings.

Hi!
No worries, I was booth #2, all the way at the end of the street, where the restaurants are located. My tent was located in front of Hyde Park. (Kind of a crappy spot for a "emerging" artist, if you ask me).. I am grateful to have the experience and opportunity to show my work & get some exposure. I only made four sales, and I had at least 50 images, most of them were matted. I was a bit disappointed, honestly thought I had what it took to make a good photograph for someone to have.. who knows, maybe I am just barely starting out. :)

I walked almost to the end, there were some booths at the end but I must have turned around before. Sorry. It was so cold. I am sorry your sales were not what you expected but really I was watching people and no one was buying anything. Last year you saw people with bags or boxes I saw no one buying.
There is another nice craft show called Mrs. Claus's Closet it is in Westlake as well at Wagner's Country in around Nov 5th. That always seems to have a great turnout and lots of sales.
Take care and good luck.
