Just heard on the tube about a 7.9 quake in Indonesia.

More tsunami warnings.

Just heard it on tv... Scary, first Samoa/NZ, now Sumatra... :(

Yes my heart goes out to all these people suffering from this awful tragic event, we were very lucky to escape, mind you the civil defence is being heavily criticized here for not knowing what the heck was going on, the media knew before they did, not good at all, does not exactly give you much faith in them does it?

Keep those prayers going for these poor people.

Is this different from the one near Samoa? I heard about a 8.0 quake last night on the news, they had tsunami warnings for the Oregon coast. Nothing huge but enough to warn people not to go to the beach!

Yes, Samoa is in the mid Pacific, Indonesia is farther west below the country of Viet Nam.:eek:
