I have to brag

My son is four and LOVES Legos. He can take a pile of pieces and can turn it into a masterpiece. I love the lego sets that you can buy because he just follows the pictures and builds them all by himself. His latest creation was this working dump truck that he put together all by himself!! It has 189 pieces:eek: I don't know about you but that seems impressive for a preschooler considering the minimum age listed on the box is 5!:D

Better than I could do and only 4 yrs old. Those legos are so amazing and they've been around forever it seems, I think all kids must love them. Your son is a real cutie and pretty fantastic for his age.

I have loved Legos ever since I got my first set at age 7 or 8. I used to sit in front of the TV every Saturday morning and build all kinds of things: helicopters, semi trucks, race cars, you name it. I entered a building contest the local McDonald's was having when I was 12 and stomped the competition (several kids were older than me, too). They were building little houses and windmills and I showed up with a 2 foot long tractor trailer dump truck, LOL. I won a Happy Meal and a radio shaped like French Fries.

They definitely inspire creativity. I'm glad to see your son enjoying building and coordination skills at such a young age.

Wow! Pretty impressive stuff for a four-year-old! If you can spare him for a day, I have a computer table that has sat unassembled in its box for over a year. Do you think he could lend a hand?:D

I became an engineer but must admit at 4 most of my construction skills were in taking things apart. I don't believe i started building things until around 6-7 when I received an Erector set for Christmas. Although the Lego block was developed in the late 40's the Blocks similar to what we have today didn't arrive until I was in my late teens, i don;t think your son will require any encouragement to become a designer/engineer, it seems it is natural for him. Impressive! I didn't start making any sense out of Lego instructions until at least 5 lol. Maybe he will grow up to build things...and actually get them right because he can read a blueprint! :D
