View Full Version : African Violets?

I have an african violet plant a picked up at a yard sale up the street.
I re-potted it into two different pots, A few of the vines died and I was wondering why- My chile plant is thrashed, my catnip plant was also roughed up a bit...

I just walked out side to water the plants and noticed a whole slew of flies that jumped out of one of the pots.....

Lo and Behold...

One of the kitties left me two turds and a branch stomped to death.

Like my mom used to say?

No sabes por quien trabajas!

(you do not know who you work for!)

I love my adopted family!!:D

Your Visitoor must have thought that you left them a decorated Litter Box with flowers to disguise the scent!!!
That they thought was darned nice of you!!!

Richard , we are both Older Distinguished Cat Lovers , or as I am known the Crazy Old Cat Man, when I am spotted leaving trays of food out.
Some one has to be in the corner of these poor Little Ones, to help the proper authorities rehome them.
I know that they "fertalize" the front yard and there are traces in the back yard under the foliage.
But its a tough life being a Lost Cat, and I am glad that you Richard along with Other Pet Talkers make thingsa bit easier
We will recieve our reward when we see the Welcoming Commitee at the Rainbow Bridge.:)
One Fine Day

I had some of what we call moss here one summer. It's a low plant that has lots of different colored flowers and no real leaves. Anyway, some stray kitties I was feeding ate the entire pot of it. I was so afraid it would kill them.

The stinkers didn't even burp!:rolleyes::D

When I first was adopted by cats, I had some African violets. Sparkle would carefully pick off each leave for a taste, not like that "peach fuzz" and spit it out. But she kept tasting each leaf, hoping one of them was going to be good! When there was just flower and stem left, she would dig it out and drop it on the floor. "Need to try something else in this pot, Mum!'

LOL

OMG! You would send them to me naked? In the middle of winter? Well, maybe a couple of them could stash the cash around their necks in a locket or something. Nobody rides for free at my house.

UPS Wednesday afternoon.

They are the best.

They get next to the chair and I reach down to scritch them.
When they realize they are being touched, they run like the wind.....

Hours of fun!:D

I just looked at one of my AVs and will pull out the last of the plants and use the pot for another project.

I'll have to take a photo of the the other pot, the one with the anti kitteh fencing! I will photo and post.

Stop already.

I had a groovy CN plant that I just pronounced dead.

One cat rubbed the stems against the planter and pulled the plant out of the dirt.

this is a before pic!

You started this cash drain, I didn't. Besides, all the kitteh stoners now know about your "crash pad". Good luck with that.:D

Ahem,

I have taken them in as a gesture of kindness. And?

"I did not have sex with that cat.."

Hmm, that seemed to work well for the guy that first uttered those words.:rolleyes:

Stoners.....House wreckers and slackers, too.:(;)

An excellent definition of your typical cat. Doesn't work a lick and expects to be given everything their little heart desires. We do it, too. Maybe we are just chumps.
