On Sunday the 13th I'm in the SPCA Paws for a Cause walk. I've never participated in a walk before and I'm hoping to go the 5km. Here is the link to my site

I know times are tough and money is really tight. I would appreciate you just thinking about it.
Many thanks.

Yes, I'm done!!!!
What a fantastic day. The weather is hot and sunny and the walk in the woods was refreshing and phun.
Not only did manage to walk the whole 5 km (that's just over 3 miles) which is a feat in itself for me, but I also won #2 top fundraiser in the Individual cat-agory.:) I'm really proud of myself today.
I met lots and lots of the dogs and there was even a girl who walked her kitty. The little torti-girl sat on her Mom's shoulders (much like a doily kitty) the whole way. I did get a picture which I will post later.
Heartfelt thanks to those of you who have supported me. I find it extremely difficult to fundraise for anything and I thought long and hard before posting this thread. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Now, I need to soak my feet and get over to Thursdays for a drink. The bartender had better be there.:D

Wonderful, and well done!
CONGRATULATIONS!
I listen to the CBC radio station from Windsor most evenings.. During the 8:00 news break this evening the announcer said there were fundraising walks and runs and marches all across Canada today. He was reporting from a breast cancer walk in Toronto (another cause I like to support being a survivor myself). I was hoping he'd mention your walk for the SPCA in BC, but no..
Still, I thought of you right away and wondered how it went..
And of course was not surprised at all to learn now that it went even better than I'd expected! #2 Fundraiser, you rock, girl! Look how much good you brought about for those wonderful animals :love::love:.

Thank you!!! Yes, the Terry Fox Run was today and they coordinate runs all across Canada. It's a huge event - one that I'm leading up to in a year or two. I also want to participate in the Weekend to end Breast Cancer - but that's a 60 KM walk in two days - not quite there yet.

I'm sorry to have missed this thread. I haven't been on PT too much lately. Good job, though, Slick. :)
