I'm hoping that if I just sit here and think really hard about what OTHER people are eating that a miracle will occur and dinner will fix itself...

You wouldn't want mine. It was a lazy junk food night. Hot dogs, mac and cheese, and an ice cream cone for dessert. How's that for a nutritious meal??????:p

And I don't even like hot dogs or mac and cheese. Oh well - it filled up an empty spot! :D

Maybe I'll have some of that cantaloupe in the fridge now................

Pomtzu if I could have a hot dog with mac and cheese I would be in heaven. Had meat loaf, mashed potatoes with broccoli. Frozen yogurt for dessert which is as close to ice cream that I'll ever get. I did have a slice of plain old watermelon though, nothing fancy like that giant melon you had. I would kill for junk food....hamburger, french fries , a pepsi and a sundae, now there's my idea of a great meal...in my dreams...

Mmmmmm - love that Drumstick ice cream. I had it for the first time this past weekend and now I think I'm addicted! Food Lion had Edy's - buy one get one free - so I thought I'd try something new. It tastes like more! :D

I made corn dog casserole last night for dinner, and ate it for lunch today.

I think tonight I'll make potato soup...

Tonight we're having a roast with potatoes and green beans cooked in. Smells yummy and it's a super easy dinner.

Baked flounder fillets and oven fries - a lot better than last night's dinner.

Woo-hoo! It's actually cool enough to turn the a.c. off (first since June), and use the oven again. I don't do ovens in hot weather even with the a.c. on. :(

I made it, so hard to complain, and I don't get the freedom to eat meatloaf too often so it wasn't too bad but when Pomtzu mentions french fries I do start grumbling..... I love french fries and I crave junk food so it would be a treat to have some .

Made meatloaf, peas and rice for last night's dinner. The weather has been nice and cool which has me thinking about soups, chili or chowder for tonight:)

So jealous (and drooling!!). I haven't had a funnel cake in about 4 years! Our Allentown Fair is starting, so I'll definitely have to go there and get one!

I made a whole bunch of grilled chicken yesterday, but I wasn't too hungry today and opted for nachos and hot salsa and a glass or 2 of wine! I can live on salsa!

*faint*

They are deep fried confections served at nearly every carnival, fair, and theme park in the USA. They are decadent!

Oh my goodness!! Funnel cakes are one of the WORST things for you, and one of the BEST tasting. Every culture has a version. They're fried dough - strands of fried dough made into a wonderful concoction! :)

Guess now I know why I don't know what they are. Sounds like it could be a last meal , leaves me out of the tasting contest I guess.
And they think french fries are bad......< G >

I'm sorry for giving a few of you a craving for funnel cakes! I would gladly send you all some... I just couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't have a few bites taken out of it. ;)

Oh, and I hardly ate a dozen of them. I would have exploded if I lived up to that idea.

Leftover roast chicken in a sandwich, strawberry jello, and pecan shortbread cookies. Washed it all down with half a can of Pepsi.

And to think, for years I cooked a big meal every night for my family. How times have changed.

Meatloaf with garlic/cheese mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, ceasar salad. I also made broccoli rabe with sauteed onions and garlic for John.

I guess this is better than my dinner yesterday which was popcorn.
I make a huge dinner for my brother. I rarely eat dinner, but this looked good if I don't say so myself!
