I was in the shower this morning, and noticed my shampoo wasn't in the tub. Rather than step out of the shower soaking wet to hunt down my shampoo, I used Cameron's cheapo-kiddo strawberry 2-in-1 shampoo.

Not only did I enjoy the strawberry scent, I enjoyed the ease of one step - instead of rinse repeat..... and best of all..... my hair looked fabulous! I couldn't believe it. I had bounce and body. It was soft and shiny.

My hair is thin, in fact, I worry about how thin its getting from stress. I work hard to keep my hair from falling flat (and from falling out ;)). And today was my best hair day in a loooong time.

Who'd da thunkit? A cheap kid shampoo gave me better results than the more expensive "thickening" shampoos.

Guess what shampoo I'll be using tomorrow morning :p

I have heard that rotating shampoos sometimes can be a good thing. I new shampoo can clean off residues that are left from other brands and give new life to limp hair. Let us know how it goes tomorrow!

I've heard the same thing, but I know how you feel, being surprised a cheap shampoo is good after all!

Yup, I know. I learned many years ago just how much better my hair looks when I juggle shampoo. I usually switch shampoos every time I wash my hair. Thats why I never have shampoo in the shower -- I just forgot to take a bottle into the shower with me. I currently have 3 shampoos in rotation.... but perhaps I now have 4 shampoos in rotation?

I also found out its best for me to switch out which gel or mousse I use. I can't use the same mousse or gel two days in a row - my hair look really bad if I did. I couldn't tell you why

Dawn Dishwashing soap.

I have used that on occcasion. It really strips the oil out of hair and is a good once-in-a-while shampoo, Hey, if it's good enough for animals that have been stuck in oil slicks?:D

Begs the Question:

Just how often do you manage to stick your head into an oil slick?

:p

I know the fishing boats in Cordova carry Joy in case of fuel spills.

Every 3,000 miles, of course. ;)

I do all the oil changes on my car.:confused::o

It may not be the strawberry shampoo in itself but the change. I am a specialist in thin hair unfortunately and I notice if I use a thickening shampoo on a regular basis the thickening substances will weigh the hair down. So I have about 3 shampoos and change daily. I'll always make sure to have one that is said to strip the hair from other product residue (I am not sure about brands in the US but Neutrogena may have some) and make sure I have one against dry hair and one for more volume.

Dawn Dishwashing soap.

LOL That'll work!
I thought I was a low maintenance gal because I use some cheapo knockoff brand of Head and Shoulders, until I heard that my sister uses bar soap!

I had to laugh when a friend commented on my shiny hair and wanted to know what salon brand I used. You should have seen her face when I told her! I love her, but she's as high-maintenance as they get. I think she has a different shampoo, scrub, gel, lotion, and/or potion in her shower for every body part!

Cheapo is best!
