I rushed Bo to the vet yesterday for breathing problems. A quick bit of history: Bo has had chronic nasal congestion since her rescue from being a feral at the park. This however is different. They're suspecting it in her lungs now. Please hope for the best for Bo. Love Ya Bo!!

Thanks everyone! I just got back from a visit with Bo. She is doing a tiny bit better but wasn't eating. I took her plate, spoon, and canned food and as soon as I opened it she gobbled like crazy. After I sat there for a while she started cleaning herself and kneeding the towel. She's getting subQ's and antibiotics. She was extremely dehydrated which seemed weird to me since she was eating and drinking at home. Anyway she's in good hands and I sure hope she can come home soon. She doesn't like it there.:(

Bo is finally home. She is doing much better but not completely over it. Xray showed congestion in the lungs but blood work came back good. They're still waiting for the culture results so in the meantime she is still on antibiotics. Once the results come back they may know other medication that is needed.

She was SO happy to get home!! Thanks for all the well wishes.

I'm so glad to hear that Bo is now home.:) Ziggy sure can relate to this because she also hated being in the hospital and was so happy to be home.;) Hopefully you'll be able to find out what's causing her problem and that it's easily treatable.
I remember seeing you give her nose drops and I couldn't believe that she allowed you to do this. I could tell that you have a very strong bond with her.:) Lots more prayers and positive thoughts are being sent her way. Please continue to keep us updated about her.

We got culture results back and not the best of news. She has the worst kind of bacteria and for the life of me can't remember the name. The good news is our vet feels it can be controlled, but we may never get it totally gone. Bo thanks you for all the well wishes.

Many prayers for Bo. Controlling the infection is better than no hope at all. And maybe we'll get lucky.

Bo, I'm so sorry to hear this news. The good part is that your whitecoat is confident that the problem can be controlled. I know seeing the whitecoat and having to take medicine is no fun for a kitty but please, sweetie, just remember it's all to help you feel better.

Prayers are still being prayed for you to feel better soon. Sending you lots and lots of feel better lovies

Healing thoughts for Bo--to get the nasty stuff under control and then to get it gone entirely. Eradicating it may be a long shot, but we can certainly hope for the best.

I'm sorry to hear that Bo has a very nasty bacteria infection:( but at least it can be treated and hopefully it'll go away in time. Lots of prayers and positive thoughts are being sent her way.

Did your vet say what may have caused this infection? I know that she's an indoor only cat. Maybe she has a compromised immune system since she's been battling infections for many years now.

That's exactly his feeling on this. As you remember Bo was born feral and lived in the park several years before she decided she wanted to come home with us. They feel her immune system is just too weak to totally fight this off. Hopefully we can control it enough for her to live a long life in somewhat comfort.

Bo is beginning to sneeze frequently again.:( I relayed this to our vet and he said to continue the antibiotics until finished. She's not as bad but I sure don't want it to get to that point again.

When it rains it pours. We had quite a stretch without anything wrong with the group.

I can definitely relate. The Fur Posse goes for several months and we have good health and peace and then suddenly all fur breaks loose, usually on a weekend or holiday (like now), too. I'm sorry that Bo isn't feeling well. I hope things straighten out for you soon. It's so worrisome.
