CUTENESS WARNING! LOTS OF CUTIES HERE!

We strongly suspected Priscilla had another litter of kittens. Rie told me while I was on the boat that she thought she had kittens but she was spending all day at my house and never leaving. I begged Priscilla every day to take me to her kittens and show me where they were. She wouldn't!

Rie was over today and I walked out to the end of my mobile home with Priscilla rubbing all over me and meowing for me to pet her... then I heard it! Everytime she meowed at me, a kitten's "meeew" answered! Right at the very corner I was standing at. I pulled up a piece of skirting and there they were! 5 little fuzzy kittens. Some still have blue eyes and they are getting teeth, the fangs are all there.. (any guesses on age?)

Of coarse the first thing I did was grab the camers.. here are some pictures..

I tried canned food to see if they would eat and ONE did eat a good bit but Mom wanted her share too!

This little fella, I call Buttons because he is as cute as a Button! Very verbal and not at all scared like the rest of them are. He is SO ready to explore his new world and steal a hoomans heart!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v288/Grammy707/Catzzzzz/IMG_0720.jpg

4 of them are marked like tabbies except that when I picked up one, I noticed the bottom of one back paw was orange so that one has to be a little girl.. I think all of them are going to be fluffy.

I got some really cute video but have to upload it yet.. that'll come real soon...

MY DELIMA! I go back to work a week from tomorrow! WHAT am I going to do with them? I have talked to neighbors and nobody is willing to take them on to socialize them to help me out while I am gone... Any suggestions? I have tried and tried to get help getting these strays fixed, CAAWS has responded but I have not heard from them since their first response that was here when I got home off the boat in July... We could have avoided this unwanted litter if they had responded and helped me...

Now, off to upload more!

Of coarse the first thing I did was grab the camers.. here are some pictures..

Looks like the first thing you did was gather up the kits into a cage, ha haa. :D

Oh they are cute! Look like 3 to 4 weeks old already.

I agree with Candace, check with the vet; maybe a vet tech will care for them for you!

The little monkeys look like a healthy bunch! Look at Buttons with his widdle white toes. And all those darling fluffy tabbies!

Maybe you could throw a blanket over the cage and sneak them all on board the boat when you go back to work? ;)

They will all sit there and spit and growl at me but Buttons will come up screaming for me to pick him up. He loved being held and petted. Look at this, don't it just melt your heart! He LOVES this!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v288/Grammy707/IMG_0728.jpg

I just realized awhile ago that I am the first human they have ever seen! I couldn't keep them inside for the night without Priscilla so I put a blanket under the house where I found them and put them back out there. First thing tomorrow, I will get them and put them back in the cage... However ONE keeps getting out of that cage somehow, with the door shut and locked.. I couldn't see locking Priscilla in the cage overnight or keeping them inside without her at their age. I am just at a lost as to what to do with them and the clock is ticking on me going back to work. I am going to call several vets tomorrow and see if ANYBODY will take them when I leave and help socialize them and possiably find them homes. I would pay out of my own pocket to spay Priscialla if I could find someone to take her..

OMG!! You're lucky I didn't stick the little orange one under my shirt when I left yesterday. You know I would take them and care for them in a heartbeat, but Curt would kill me and I don't think I coluld hide them anywhere that he wouldn't know they were here.

I have contacted CAAWS again, pointing out how many more have been reproduced because of their delay and offering to do whatever it takes to get these cats spayed if I have to trap and transport them to wherever they need to go to be fixed.. I offered to do that before!

I also contacted Cat Haven asking for help and they had this posted on their web sight "Cat Haven's Feral Program has two goals: First, to reduce the population explosion by spaying and neutering feral cats; second, to capture young feral kittens so they may be socialized and domesticated to be good pets. Our program utilizes the proven method of Trap-Neuter-Release (T-N-R). After trapping, each cat is spayed or neutered, given a rabies vaccination and treated for minor ailments."

So maybe they will take the kittens, I asked them to take them with or without the mother when I leave for work.. (I tried them with the can food again this morning and 3 ate it this time.) I made the same offer to Cat Haven to trap and transport and asked if we could set something up NOW for when I get back from work in September. So, with both is is a sit back and wait and see what happens...

I went and got the kittens again this morning and they do seem not so frightened of me this morning. That little Buttons is a screamer, he is the most verbal of them ALL so I am betting it was him that gave away where they were yesterday. They don't like being caged away from their mother at all so I put her in there with them from time to time to calm them down... shuts them right up! I tried just letting them roam but they get under my concrete steps and I can get to them when they are there... they NEED to be where I can handle them frequently..

Well my kittens just turned 3 weeks old yesterday, and they're still smaller and less coordinated than yours appear to be. My guess would be 5-6 weeks old.

At any rate, they are ADORABLE! I'd help out if I was closer!

I fixed them a nicer place under the house last night and put them back under there and when I went to get them this morning.. I couldn't find them but I knew they were still under there because everytime I would go out, Priscilla would come out from under there. They finally followed her out and I had no trouble gathering them up and putting them in the cage for more socializing. They are no longer afraid of me and only 1 hissed at me today when I gathered them up. Now they look at me and "MEEEW", coming up to me from inside the cage so I think we have come a long way with having them socialized. Buttons comes right up to me begging to be held. I tried feeding them this morning but they must have had their tummies full, none were interested.

No word from CAAWS or Cat Haven this morning. All the neighbors are coming by to see them and to handle them but nobody will take then while I am gone. I had half the neighborhood here late yesterday and all just fell in love with Buttons but nobody offered to help with anything. :(

Oh Laura, those babies are just too adorable! And little Buttons, so much mischief on such a sweet little face. You might want to consider putting a sign over your door warning everyone of Major Cuteness Overload.

Prayers are being prayed that good, reliable help will come your way and PT quality homes will be found for all of them. Sending lovies to all

Great news.. I think I have found someone to sponsor getting ALL of this family S/N.. The offer has been made, I just hope they don't change their mind by the time I get back! Also, someone local wants one of them from just seeing their pictures and wanting to come pick out the one she wants. She already has cat experience and I think is a responsible pet owner.. I WILL question her when she comes to make sure.

Check out these new pictures of the babies.. they are growing like weeds, eating, even trying to eat the Science Diet I put out for their Mama. They are VERY interested in the smell of the food... We like to have died laughing at one yesterday, licking the whole bowl after Mama ate all the SD..

I just call t his one O.P., for Orange Paw, that one orange paw is so darn cute. All pads on her feet at black, except for this one, that one is pink..
