I had last Friday off from work so I stopped out to visit my parents while they prepared for their vacation.

Mom and I were helping Dad put the topper on the pickup when I realized it was awfully quiet.

Went looking for the kids knowing I'd find trouble a brewing.

Caught them rolling in the backyard.

I almost didn't want to know what it was. Didn't see anything right away and then caught the scent of deer musk. Well gee! Didn't realize the pooches were interested in cologne. :p

Chipper was applying it so vigorously, he gave himself grass stains.

Doesn't he look so pleased with himself? Note the grass stains above his right eye and on his ears. He was thorough.

Kia wanted a Vogue shot while wearing her new perfume

Too Quiet ...

Oh, that sickening feeling ...

Almost as bad as hearing the sounds of a Barking Pursuit ...
Followed by *silence* ...

Further followed by the return of the Barker into the house ...
and the gut-wrenching odor of le-Skunqe fills the house.

Well, them rolling in Deer urine puts them into the very, very bad catagory. A catagory they seem to have problems getting themselves out of regularly. ;)

LOL...been a few years since I had a dog that liked to roll in stinky stuff. I remember our black Lab Herbert rolling in a box of dead dried up worms that laid in the yard from when the kids went fishing. For some reason Casey never did this.

Your doggies look very proud of themselves. :D

Oh boy... do they know they'll smell better outside in the fresh, clean breeze rather than in the house? :D

Ah, Chipper, Kia, do you really think that smelly stuff is a good idea? Did Mom and Dad give you a bath right away? Or did they let you ride home smelling like that? Humans don't like the same smells as you doggies. Tucker has been seen rolling in something in our backyard too and although he doesn't smell, he has an ucky color on him that means a bath tonight for sure (it was too late to give him one last night when I discovered it. Since he sleeps in a crate and not our bed it could wait til I got home from work this afternoon.)

Bath right away! I was borrowing my parents car and figured they'd appreciate it. ;)

Oh Tucker... you are too cute for mud baths!

Chipper has a good fashion sense, too. The grass stains match his collar quite nicely. ;)

Ethan shares Kia and Chipper's love for rolling on smelly things... he always comes in with worms stuck in his collar.
