Adopted another Strawberry Hermit Crab

Meet the new guy! Haven't decided on a name yet, but he is a boy. I hope Hieba likes her new boyfriend. :D

After buying Hieba, we scoured area pet stores for more Strawberries with no luck. My husband was searching Craigslist and found an ad with a picture of a Strawberry. The ad was a month old, but we emailed anyway, and as luck would have it, she still had the crab!

She was asking $20 for the crab and setup but I told her I didn't need any more tanks so she gave him to me for no charge, happy he was going to a good home.

Although it did cost me about $10 in gas to go get the little guy. :o

Gorgeous little guy! :love: He's so cute and seems like a little camera ham :D Congratulations, tell us when you name him!

He's pretty cool. I've been checking in on him in his isolation tank since I've been home from work. He moves around here and there, likes to hangs out near the salt water bowl. We've only had him a few hours so after a week or two, he'll be done with isolation and into the tank with the others.

gorgeous! i was going to get a hermit crab a while ago, but i was told by an aunty that they smell out there setups very quickly.
