Early Monday morning I was starting to load things in my car for our trip to my grandson's third birthday party. On one of my trips to the car I noticed a widdle bunny making her nest in my front yard. Honestly, I wish she hadn't chosen this place, but we will be very careful mowing.

The whole time I was filming she knew I was right there. I am not using a zoom lens. I was maybe, at most three feet from her. :) The nest, at this moment (Wednesday) is covered with grass. No one would ever know that she is inside now with, I assume, little ones. :) Enjoy!

She was probably checking YOU out ...
no doubt plans on YOU filling in as Bunny Sitter when she goes on breaks.

Yes it was amazing that she let me get so close. I have to wonder if she would have let me pet her if I got any closer. :p Probably not! LOL! This morning the nest is still covered in grass. I don't know if she came out overnight and then fixed the entrance or if she is still in there. I will watch it closely. Over the years that I have lived here I have seen a few bunny nests in the back yard but never got to watch them being made. It was just fascinating!

I hate to admit this but I never knew bunnies made nests. That is just awesome, Pam! I love the way she tears away the grass and carries it in her little mouth. So cute!!! Thanks for sharing that. I've really learned something today.:)
I hope we get a look at the little babies.:)

I was telling my brother about this post and your pictures and video.
His response was "well, that certainly speaks well of Pam that the bunny would let her get that close."

Pam, thank you for this - isn't it just the dearest thing to watch?
