A widow at age 20, with a 1 1/2 year old daughter, my best friend is now on her own. Her husband died early this morning in a car crash, he hit head on with someone else and was pronounced dead on the scene. My friend was a stay at home mom, he worked. She has no idea were to go from here. She is an excellent person, a loving mother, a loyal wife. She had been through so much through her life and she had finally found her happily ever after. I was so grateful to him for giving her the happiness she so desired and deserved. And now he's gone, and she's hurting, and because she's hurting I'm hurting. We live over 4 hours from each other so I can't be with her, but I wish I could. I wish I could ease her pain somehow but I know I can't. Her young daughter is without a father. It feels like I'm emotionally connected to her and I can't imagine being happy when she's so upset. :(

Oh my goodness. I am SO sorry. That is such a tragic and horrible thing. Is there any way you could go visit her for a day or two? I'm sure she'd really like that. If not, you can be there for her in many other ways.

I wish the best for this young lady and her little girl.

I wish I could be there with her. But I have no way to get to where she lives.

My heart goes out to her. Life isn't fair, to take someone so young.

So very sorry. It doesn't seem possible at that young age that they can be gone so quickly. I do hope you can go visit your friend, somehow.

Please let her know how many people feel her pain and are sending prayers and love. There is no "happily ever after" only life, one step and a time, one lesson at a time. Knowing that she has a friend like you who loves her will be a consolation. My heart is with you both.

Perhaps in the near future she will be able to come and visit you...even on the Greyhound. She might need a break by then.

{{{{hugs}}}} to her, and to you.

I talked to her today. His parents live close to me and so I will be able to go to his funeral. I'm not sure when it is going to be yet. She keeps telling me that she keeps hoping it's just some kind of joke and that he'll walk in the door again.
