Sty?

My 5 yr old chihuahua has a red small bump on his bottom eyelid. It was there yesterday but it was smaller, so it is a little bit bigger today. I am worried that it may be a sty. I have never had one but I know that people and animals can get them. He lets me look at it and it does not seem painful. He is not rubbing it or itching it.

I read a posting from another member and her dog ended up having surgery due to an infected tear gland.

Any suggestions or ideas?

(Other than going to the vet, which I will do if the condition does not get any better!)
