...It's when they try to catch the cute little birdies in our garden :( I know there is nothing to do, they are just cats!

Here is the naughty guy, our neighbour cat:

The whole morning I could see only the eyes, and top of ears behind the wall  He was chasing a couple of birds who have decided to install their nest under a roof in the garden. Poor little ones! I hope they survive, and I hope the babies to come will survive too! The nest is in a pretty safe place, but when I see the cat almost hanging up side down on the roof border, I am doubting...

Here is the female bird:

I have no picture of the male yet. I don't want to disturb them too much. They have enough stress with the kitty!

I tried showing Peppito there was a furry visitor in his garden, but he doesn't care too much!

Wow! You got great close ups of the bird! Let's hope the cat can't get them!

THAT DOES MAKE YOU THINK WHEN YOUR CUDDLY CAT, THE EPITOME OF CAT SHOWS THIER WILD SIDE AND TURNS PREDATOR.:eek:
AND ITS SO INGRAINED THAT THEY KILL OUT ON INSTINCT , NOT OUT OF HUNGER.:(:(
I REMEMBER WHEN LITTLE MICHAEL, TIGER AND THE NEIGHBORS CAT JOHNNY WERE CAUGHT KILLING AND DEVOURING AN EASTER BUNNY.:eek:
WHEN MICHAEL WAS AN OUTDOOR CAT A LOT MORE.
WATCHING MICHAEL TEARING AT THE BUNNYS TUMMY MADE REALIZE THAT IN THE SMALLEST MILDEST CAT LURKS A TIGER!!!
:(:(
FLY BIRDIE FLY!!!

This is one of the many reasons my boys are kept inside. I do provide toys that satisfy their need to hunt, though they do a pretty good job of that with each other.

Yes, they are so different when they turn into little predators! This cat usually escapes when we show up in the garden. We could never approach him. But when he's hunting he just doesn't care when I make noise to "scare" him! And he doesn't seem to be starving, indeed!

Maya! No, not a sweetie like you! Meowmie is very happy with the presents you bring, but she would be even happier if she could watch your presents fly in the sky!!
