and NOW, she is bringing FRIENDS with her! This is the second friend she has brought, the day before it was a grey boy, then she shows up with this one today...

I have it figured out... she wants FOOD! I take out food for her, she eats and then is gone.. TWICE a day!! I also think she wants inside. I caught her with her grey friend looking in the kitchen window where Giz sits on the perch all the time and as you can see, Samantha is smitten with her every time she shows up..

I'm afraid you've been "marked", girlie. This was an every day occurrence when I lived at my other house and the cats just kept on coming. They know where to go. :)

She came back again today and brought ALL her friends with her.. I hope this is all of them anyway. They run away when I open the door but she stays for food and love.. See the grey boy on the concrete? And that beautiful blackie in the grass?

Laura ~ We have 2 visitors every now and then. I finally put out a small feeder for them.

Before I bought the feeder, I used an old flower pot but that didn't work out so well. As I watched from the kitchen, the ravens swooped down and ate all the food!

I put the feeder in the back yard under a little porch. The cats can get to it but the ravens haven't found it yet.

I wanted to put out a larger one, but since we've seen bears and coyotes behind our house, we're afraid too much food will attract them. :eek: That probably would be a problem for you :p but squirrels...oppossum...raccoon.....

And we always leave something nice for Our Guests that the Porch Angels send around, they just love the Meat Ends that we buy at 2 dollars a pound.:D:D

The problem is, what she don't eat is immediately covered with ANTS!... and what happens when I go back to work? I need to talk to that man she belongs to but I haven't seen him walking his dogs today.

YEP! I keep saying they are a lot smarter than people think they are and yes, it melts my heart too.. I see that same begging in her eyes that I use to see in Samantha's before she was mine.

I think they are all of the same litter. Last year someone dumped a beautiful long haired girl in here. Shortly, she had kittens.. about 4 of them, I think these are the kittens. Mama got killed on the highway several months ago.

We had situations of cats hanging around trying to get inside. The first one was with us for nearly 20 years, and the second will be with us for nearly 14 this summer. Yes, we took them both in! We did advertise, but nobody claimed them.

i've had some sucess with this for keeping the ants out of the food for a previous outside cat....i put a smaller food filled bowl in the center of a larger one, then filled the gap with water, the ants would fall in the water and not get to the food. the larger the gap the better.
so have you named them yet? :D

I have to tell you all this. For days, I have been having something hitting my house. I'd go look and there were no kids around, not a human in sight. It happens 2 or 3 times a day and has had me puzzled as all get out. It happened again today and just as I get up to go look again, I see HER.. She has a fresh caught lizard in her mouth. It has been her, jumping at the house to catch lizards!! :eek: Soon as she saw me she let it go and it ran off. She is quit handy at catching lizards, even if she has to jump up to get them off the house! WHAT a girl!!

Well, today she brought yet ANOTHER!! The only way to tell them apart is the other has a white tip on it's tail and she don't.. There are TWO of her!!LOL! She has brought her whole family up here now to meet the lady who puts out food for her. Now I see why I have been so confused. They look exactly alike execpt for the white tip on the tail..
