J decided she wanted to get some frogs again. She's had Firebelly Toads in the past but wanted something different.

We picked up these two and a whole bunch of habitat stuff last night at Petco.

Meet Chloe and Oscar! They're both White's tree frogs.
(Who knows if they're both male or male and female, so we're just taking a guess...)

Sorry for the blurriness, the camera doesn't seem to want to work through the glass. We'll have to work on that.

Here's a video (http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v129/Seravieve/?action=view&current=SDC10538.flv) of Oscar eating a cricket. He's super fast!

We're working on keeping up the humidity.. so we have a humidifier going and a red heat lamp as well. We might get a under the tank heater for during the day so they can sleep and be warm without the bright light. J wanted some house plants for their room (Our extra bedroom) so we went and picked up 4. Now they should feel more at home. Spoiled little froggers.

They're so cute! They always look like they're smiling, even when they're thinking "PUT ME DOWN!!".

Here's a picture of their room.

The window faces North, so no direct sunlight. We've got a humidifier going and it seems to really help keep the humidity right for them. We have since bought a background picture for the terrarium, as J read it helps them feel safer, and keeps it a little darker too.

Congratulations on the new members of the family! White's are definitely one of my favorite frogs to own. They are really fun compared to my fat Ornate Horned Frog. :)

Welcome to PT, Oscar & Chloe!

They're a lot of fun to feed!! I'm not the one getting crickets out of their keeper, but its fun to watch them hunt and catch them. And then they have full bellies afterwards.

Oooh yea, I'll nominate them for POTD once we get a good picture. They're all so blurry... so far.

Oscar and Chloe (Aka Brownie and Greenie) got two new cage mates tonight... Kiwi and Wasabi, Green Tree Frogs. Hopefully they'll do ok together... Kiwi and Wasabi might have to move to their own cage once Oscar and Chloe reach their full size though.. Don't want frogs eating other frogs. O&C will be twice K&W's size when theyre full grown.

He's really active, hopping all over the place.

Wasabi:

They also got a new and improved terrarium... a 30gal tank.. with more stuff to climb on and live plants.
