Someone dumped off 5 newborn kittens under our bushes a couple days ago.. They were in a box with a towel in it so I know a mother cat didn't have them there.
They still have their umbilical cords attached, and their eyes are not open.
I was outside smoking, and Alize kept trying to get to something in the bushes.. I got a flashlight and went to see what it was..

Anyway, I finally got in contact with a local cat rescue, and they took them.. I've bottle fed pups before, but haven't had experience with baby kittens, so I wanted someone that did to take them. I've been keeping in contact with the lady that has them and so far all 5 are still doing good..

Here are some pictures of the babies I took before I took them to the lady that is bottle feeding them.

How terrible of these "people" to dispose of them in such a way!! They should have let the mother raise them, then find them homes, and for goodness sakes, fix the mother!!!!! Not sure, but the description you give of the tails (corkscrew, short and no tail) suggest that these are from a Manx parent. I was just reading up on the Manx last week. I hope they all grow up well and healthy and find great homes.

Oh goodness, why couldn't the person have waited a bit before she separated the babies from their mother? Well, maybe something happened to the mother; perhaps she died or abandoned her kitties (the latter not too likely). Anyhow, I'm glad that someone is taking care of them now and that you were able to find someone so quickly. Please keep us posted on how the little sweeties are doing.

awww..... what sweet little faces. I bottle-raised several kittens and puppies back when I had more free time. I worked at a vet clinic so at least I could take them to work with me, LOL.

I'm so glad that you were able to save these sweethearts. Some people I swear have no feelings. It's sad though that the kittens won't have their mom with them but it looks like they are in great hands.

What a horrible thing to do to tiny creatures of God, why couldnt they have taken these babies to a shelter where they could have taken care of!!!
:mad::mad::mad:
I pray that one day that someone abandons these people in a nursing home one day with the callousness they showed these Kittens.
:mad::mad:
We pray that you can get these Kittens through this critical stage of thier tiny lives.:love::love::love::love::love:

Great news! Think she might update with PICS here and there? :D

She should join up with us - when she is rested up from overnight feedings, that is! :-)

They are just too sweet. :love:

I hope the human that dumped them will at least get the mom fixed...they can't live too far away. Idiot! Or maybe just needs some education. At least they were dumped in a box near your house...and not in a field somewhere. Still...thank goodness they were found by you!

It's sad that anyone could dump them like that, the poor kitties miss their mom of course. :( But I'm glad that you were the one who found them. I hope they'll all survive in the care of the woman from the shelter - at least she has some experience. :)

Thanks for helping them - and thanks for sharing he pictures, they're SO cute! :)

I was wonderfing if they had a surrogate Momma Cat at the Shelter , who could give those Babies the anti bodies they need at this young age.
They are all so tiny, and we cant wait to see updates on The Fearless Fivesome!!!!

Thank goodness they were dropped at your house, and you certainly did the right thing taking them to a shelter with the experience to take care of them, they are adorable, and sounds like they are going to do well there,as for the so called human beings that dumped them, i have no words that i can repeat on here to say about them.

We are very lucky they were dumped here.. There is a huge pond across the street from our road, and sad to say, but they could have easily dumped them over the fence into the pond.. :(

I'm going to ask her if she can keep me updated with pictures.. I would love to see the little guys growing up.. I also offered to foster them once they were old enough to start eating until they found new homes.. That way they would have space in case more little newborns needed help. And my mom bought them several cans of goats milk to keep the supply going for a while.

They don't actually have a shelter, all of the cats are in foster homes.

Sadly, I checked with several shelters, and none had any nursing mothers. One of them did have one in foster care, but her kittens were only 2 1/2 weeks old, and she was trying to wean them off already.

Thank God Alize drew your attention to the bushes. I hate to think what would have happened to these wee ones if not found in time.

Thank you for saving these little ones. I am so happy to hear that they are doing well and pray that they continue to do so.

Through all my efforts and making 1 week, the smallest one gave up the fight this morning at 5am. He was alive at the 3 am feeding. The others seem to be gaining weight and getting stronger. Oh, our eyes are starting to open. I will keep you posted on our progress.

Sadly the little dark tabby with the short tail didn't make it.

Rest in Peace little man.

I'm so sorry to hear about the li'l guy's passing. At least he got to feel the human touch before he left for his trip to the Bridge. RIP, sweet little one and blessings to those who loved and helped you. :love:

Aww that is so sad, poor wee thing, so young, like others said so happy he had the warmth of human touch and love before his passing, RIP little brave one, here's hoping all the others do well and survive to grow up to be someone's much loved pets.

What beautiful babies! Thank you so very much for caring enough to help these little newborns know love and care so early in their lives. It is heartbreaking that they were taken from their Meowmie at a time when they need her most, she must miss them terribly.

RIP little guy :love: How sad that you went to the Bridge too soon. It's comforting to know that, for a brief time, you knew love and caring.

Gary, Please contact your Kitty Angels? Ask them to take care of this sweet baby, watch over him, and teach him everything he needs to know about being a kitty.
