I just got my cat a couple of days ago, he is eating fine and drinking fine. Today I seen him in my flower (thats another story and im trying to get him in his litter box!) and i seen blood in his stool, is this normal? is it because of the different food from the shelter to home?

I have another cat, and he seems fine, his stool seems fine. If this is worms can this be passed onto another cat? and if it worms, does it cost alot to fix it?

thanks for the help!

No, blood in the stool is never normal.

Only a visit to the vet will let you know if it's worms, the food, or something else entirely. When you go to your vet appointment bring a fresh stool sample in with you for them to test.

Keep us posted what the vet says.

I dont know what it was. The kitty seems fine now, no blood in his stool at all. So i dont know what was wrong? if anything else shows up i will call the vet

Fister had blood in his stool also a few years ago. My vet's assistant adviced me to feed him Hills WD dry mixed with his SD, that helped. Your cat may need more fiber.

In any case, tell your vet it and ask if it could be something else.
