And this time I actually think it's going to come!

I got a barely used, 17.5" Circuit Close Contact! I'm so excited to see it! This one has longer flaps that will *hopefully* be long enough for my monster thighs. Plus, I got it for an amazing deal - $400!

Yes. It turned out that my falling off problem was all my fault. Apparently I was taught to 'look pretty' on a horse but not really how to control a green or unsure horse. My saddle is teaching me not to grip with my knee. I used to grip hard with my calf, almost too much, so I have no clue where the knee grip thing came from. I've fallen off 8 times in 6 weeks. Maybe ONE of them could have been excused. Before that I had only fallen off four times in my life and I started riding in 2001.

It's so comfy! Originally, I didn't want anything with knee or thigh blocks, but now I'm thinking that they (and the deeper seat) might help me stay aboard the frisky horses my trainer will definitely be putting me on. I love falling off, but I hate how my trainer babies me for the rest of the lesson afterwards.

OH! And I'm going to start riding again soon, probably the end of this month or the beginning of the next! YIPPEE!!

Oh I would hate them to baby me. For me it's 'That was graceful. You didn't control your horse. 90% of the lesson kids would have stayed on."

I used to ride with a trainer like that...I miss her.

haha it's just like "wow, that was graceful. get back on and we'll go canter over some poles so you're not scared." they won't even let me redo whatever line I came off over (I only fall off during the jumping portion, stupid refusals) so then by the time I ride next, I get all antsy down that line and then it ends badly.
