I think it's almost time to do the Mardi Gras thing.. I saw a newspiece on the tube the other night.
I have beads for the gals:eek::confused:
And masks for the guys!:D
I think some suggestions are in order for food and can we start with a Southern Comfort cocktail ?

We've still got some time for Mardi Gras - but no one says you cannot start partying early!
Mardi Gras - Shrove Tuesday - is February 24th this year.
For Shrove Tuesday - not sure why - but we used to have a pancake dinner at the church. Pancakes, anyone?
I, for one, will resist the beads - one busted string and the orange kitty (formerly a blue kitten) will have a field day chasing beads everywhere!
As for me, in real life I am sick with a nasty cold, so just a nice cup of chai with honey, please.
LOL!
My BF loves the Mardi Gras.
His past Mardi Gras parties (before we were dating) were not for the faint at heart.
I heard the woman had to show something to get those nice beads.
I'll pass on the beads but I'll have a Margarita.;)
I made some stuff potato skins and Nachos for the party.
Karen feel better, that nasty head cold has been getting everyone over my way.

Yeah I wondered about that too-the start date and the pancakes, I checked the bible and saw no mention of Mrs. Butterworth?:D

Oh, my, those crawdads look good! I was in Biloxi about 15 years ago and we had a crawfish boil. Messy but fun and delicious!

:eek: Well Darn here we go == Orc no no dont start the Fire = Yet!! KuuVoomm = Richard I think Orc has the Fire started now.. Orc that Bigg Black Kettle is to start the CrawFish Boil in.. So brings it overhere withs some water ok.. Orc Orc stop throwing water on David.. No No David does not want to wear the kettle on his head.. Do you know you can tell how bad the economy is by how many pretzels are in your Chex mix? The worst the economy, the more pretzels in the bag. The bag I opened the other day had tons more pretzels than usual.
I know because I don't like pretzels unless they are chocolate covered. So I pull them out. I do drizzle melted chocolate over them so they won't go to waste. :D

No Trader Joe's here. Never heard of him. Sounds interesting though. I'd love for someone to give Walmart a run for their money here. :D

Well, it is pretty early in the morning to start eating.......but those crawdads look absolutely yummy. But then - MOFF has those chocolate drizzled pretzels..........decisions ...decisions!
I can't wait until daylight savings begins again - I don't like it when we have to "fall back".

Have never been to Mardi Gras and since I'm still having work done on my house (bathroom's done; YES!), I've been cooking quick and easy, so it's sloppy joes and chocolate milk for me. (I know....)
