Besides the bucking, running away, and leaving me on the fence LOL.

I got a kick out of his tail... he sure talks with it doesn't he? *swish, swish, swish* lol

What a smart lil' dude! Your side passing and smooth lope make Summer and I jealous. (Side passing just hasn't "clicked" yet and we tend to bypass lope and go straight to RUN... can't wait for the time change and wamer weather so I can work her more.)

He's a doll baby, Vela! Cute as a button!

Yes he talks with his tail all the time when he's "working". He actually flipped it up and hit me in the back of the head with it the other day LOL. We used to be at a flat out run too, slow and calm was not in his vocabulary, but we've worked really hard together to build a solid foundation between the two of us and it's paying off. He's a goody boy but he can be very naughty sometimes LOL. I don't let anyone else ride him, he's a one person pony.

HINT HINT I'd sure love to see some more pictures of YOUR little girl.

ha ha I can just see it...

*THWACK!*

Poor head! Aren't they so funny?!

HINT HINT I'd sure love to see some more pictures of YOUR little girl.

Dirty, dusty winter coat and all? I'll see what I can do this weekend. ;)

Miss Mare's pretty calm and slow... usually, TOO slow. I talked to a friend and she thinks the loping issues might be related to balance and headset. She suggested working on half-halts for the balance. For headset, I have a training fork (http://www.jeffersequine.com/ssc/product.asp?CID=1&mscssid=BR2G702XUT4M9N2ANSW4WQBG58M0DSQB)that I LOVE but, because I have to shorten my reins quite a bit, I FEEL like I'm too heavy handed with it (she sure as heck works the bit when I use it, though - I've never seen her so slobbery unless it involved cookies :D).

Anyway, I'll shush now. I didn't mean to detract from your boy's glory! We can cuss and discuss when I get around to posting a Summer thread. :D

I can't believe I didn't see this thread until now.
I just love Gent, he is such a handsome and talented Morgan.
I love all his fancy footwork and tail action.:D
Thank you for posting a video of him, I love seeing him in action.:)
I can't remember but did you say in the past that he is a Lippitt Morgan?
Does he have any of the UVM horses in his pedigree?

I am not sure of any of the horses were ever from UVM, but his pedigree can be seen here

http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/proud+gentleman

gonig back generations right back to Figure (Justin himself).

He goes back to Croydon Prince, Croydon Mary, Ethan Allen the third, Polly Rogers, Donald, Sealect, Coprnwallis is a Sealect son, etc.

If you scroll down you can see the foundation stock of the Lippitt, it's interesting reading.
