Monster has been acting very differently lately. He used to jump on my lap and talk to me. But for the past few months he won't even let me get close to him. I halfway wonder if he is grieving for Buttermilk. Does anyone have ideas on why his personality has changed? He does not seem to be sick - he's eating and drinking normally. Thanks.

They do grieve. So it is possible. Our Bart was lost for a little while when ET passed, but being a Main coon he decided to get closer too me. When Ginger our dog passed Chessie would not come near me, and still does not. He is mommas boy even after almost 8 years.
I would suggest that you pay a little more attention and possibly get a new friend for him.

THATS SAD THAT MONSTER SEEMS TO BE IGNORING YOU, AND I HAVE HAD THE OPPOSITE REACTIONS FROM MOURNING CATS.
WHEN PRECIOUS LA PURRFECTA LOST SAM AKA SHEMP, IT WAS LIKE ME AND MY SHADOW, AS WE REALLY BONDED.
MAYBE A FEW TREAT:love::love:S AND A SNACK WILL BRING YOUR MONSTER BACK TO YOU!!!!:love::love:
