Hi, I recently adopted a puppy that might be a border collie
mix. He is only about 3 months and already weighs 15lbs! But, I heard that these type of dogs are good at agility courses. Does anyone know of any in my area of south Carolina , clubs , I mean.
Where you can get together and compete and learn stuff?
I am new to this. Thanks

Hey

I don't know any agility groups off hand in your area, the best bet would be the net. However it's best that you wait until the pup is older. After all the puppy's bones are still growing and all the jumping and running that they due in agility can put a tremendous amount of stress on their bones which is the reason that most agility associations don't allow dogs under the age of 18mnths to compete. You might be able to find a puppy class or something though, it's worth looking in to because trust me it's so much fun.

HI,
I have a Border Collie, female ,Named Chewy.......and I am starting her in agility......shes been at it for atleast half a year.i havent taken her to any classes yet....DO you have any pictures of your BC mix??3 months is young and 15 pounds isnt much but im sure that he is about 4 months and weighs a lil bit more by now......because he is still growing and his bones are fragil i wuold think that just a small agility course would be ok....make sure that the jumps are very small! because its easy for them to get hurt on here!! If you would like info on Agility and like sum pictures of agilty e-mail me!!I would love to help agility is lots of fun but lots of work!!Good Luck!!
