We have recently experienced the same phenomenon.

The kitties rejected 2 high-quality pet drinking fountains. They were scared to death of the noise the motors made. But, the fountain we recently bought at Target -- with an even louder motor -- has now become acceptable. :rolleyes:

That's pretty! I would love one of those for my office desk.

I had the same "problem" years ago when I had one. It's like you get this nice item and think you can put it on a table and admire it and hear the beautiful sounds. And the next thing you know you hear, lap, lap, lap and see the cats drinking from it.

Thats true, as to me the nicest sound that I acn hear is that lap , lap ,lap.
