Feeding time in "the cat room" which is also the home office.

They ALWAYS line up in the same order at the bowls. From left to right: Sparkle, Chaplin, Cuddles, Vita, Chestnut, and Tuppence in front waiting for me to get over to the other line of dishes.

Then across the room we have: Chestnut, Crystal, Tommy and Ebony (Tuppence didn't move over here yet, she checks out what Chestnut left in the first feeing line. Chestnut is over 17 pounds, because he helps empty ALL the bowls. :rolledeyes2:).

Bobby always waits, he never challenges anyone for food. Due to his head tilt, he is always on defense, poor guy.

Tuppence often sits with Bobby.

My kids have their own set places to eat, too. I love when I feed them and they all go and sit and wait on the grub. I've got one that likes to clean everyones plates for them, too. She's even guilty of stealing from my plate:rolleyes:.

You do have pretty babies!

Thanks for all the great comments!

Laura, it's due to having the dogs as well. Dogs aren't allowed to eat cat food, and dogs will snack from the litter boxes unless you block the path

It's great to see all of your kitties together. :D

Question. How DO you keep the dogs from eating out of the cat boxes? You let the cats roam the house too, don't you?

Great pictures! I think it's amazing that they line up in the same spot to eat!! Chestnut is like my late Trevor (before his diabetes). He hated to see Andy waste his food and would eagerly clean his bowl for him.

I guess I have a "cat basement." LOL! I have Andy's litter box down there and that is where he gets fed for the same reason. He reaches his special "room" through a kittie door which is too small for them. :p Bella and Ripley would LOVE his food, and I don't even want to think about the "tootsie rolls."

Gosh, they fall into position each feeding time? I guess I have ghetto cats because it's every cat for him/herself when it's time to eat. Great pix! :)

There are "gates" at the doors to the 2 rooms with litter boxes. The dogs can't get in. (Technically, I think they could jump the gates, PLEASE do not tell them!) I don't use "formal" baby gates, just stuff I happened to find. I think you can see the white laundry rack I use in at the door to the home office in the last 2 photos, the ones with Bobby.

Yes, the cats have free roam of the house. The dogs get everyplace except the 2 gated rooms. And if I forget to replace a gate, like in the evening when I am cleaning litter boxes and back and forth between the 2 rooms, the dogs are RIGHT there!

I just noticed how Tuppence is "wearing" someone else's tail, too! Tuppence, how sweet of you to be a pal for Bobby. Kisses all around!

That picture of Tuppence sitting with Bobby is so sweet; it's like he's saying "hang on a minute, I'll keep you company until the crowd goes away".

What a great crew!

Great pictures of your kitties at feeding time.
I have enough trouble feeding two kitties at the same time.
Izzy eats really slow like a little lady and Milly sucks the food in her bowl right up and tries to help Izzy eat her food before she can finish it herself.
