I am actually thinking about one for my crew too. I found this (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=139754&highlight=water+fountains) thread about fountains. I haven't read it all yet, but it should give you some ideas. Also just do a search for water fountains and it will come up with several threads. :D

I have 2 Pet Mate fountains, have had one over 2 years, one over a year. I am quite happy with them.

I have both a Pet Mate and a Drinkwell. Both are good.

I received a Drinkwell as a gift, and my girls LOVE it! They still want water from the sink, but I know that when I am not home, they are drinking fresh cool water! I clean mine every couple of days, and have had it for over 3 years!

Here's the threads I posted about both of my Petmate fountains. Sorry, I've deleted the pix since then, but the thread is still there.

I have 2 PetMate 1 large and 1 small both work great and my CREW loves them. The small one is about 1 1/2 years old and the large a bout a year. I do recharge the filters my self, use fish tank carbon. The only problem I have had is Lucky like to take a bath in the small one, so it clogs with hair faster.

The Found Cats love thier Pet Mate which we got at an Animal Welfare sale, and it keeps thier water so nice and cooool, and nice to drink.
The only trouble is that they drain it daily , and it gets so noisy when the waters gone!!!:):):)
