I was just looking back at some of my pictures, and I know I have shown these years ago, but I thought it would be a fun thread to show pictures of our kittens where we got them.

Hannah and Puff, I was only 18 (how time flies!), they were about 3 days old here. Rescued a stray pregnant momma, and got the loves of my life.

This is a great idea for a thread. I only have one picture of Taz as a kitten. I didn't have a ditigal camera back then. Did they even make them 13 years ago? LOL So this is a scanned picture, not the best quality.
Taz was estimated to be a few months old when I got him. He's probably about 5 or 6 months old in this picture.

And of course we all remember Paizly just four months ago when I got her. :D This picture was taken at Cathy's house a couple week before I brought her home, so it's the end of June.

Okay as promised here are some pictures of my cats when I got them.

Storm was about 1 year old when I adopted him from the Humane Society. His former owner abandoned him and he was in the building with the stray cats. I don't have any pictures of him by himself. Here are 3 pictures of him with another cat named Ceasar. I adopted him about 3-4 months after adopting Storm but things just didn't work out with him so I had to return him and I ended up adopting my RB Pepper instead.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v176/krazyaboutkatz/Storm/scan0001-StormCesarcropped.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v176/krazyaboutkatz/Storm/scan0002.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v176/krazyaboutkatz/Storm/scan0003.jpg

I adopted my RB Pepper from a rescue group that had kittens at Petco. I picked him because he seemed to be the friendliest and he was always purring. He was 9 weeks old at the time but I don't know where these pictures are at the moment so I'll post some when he was 12 weeks old.

This last picture was after I had his front paws declawed which I'll never ever do to another cat again.:( He didn't want to walk on one of his front paws so he had to wear a splint for several days. I know he must've been in a lot of pain.:( Of course my vet at the time said that he had never seen this happen before.

Both Storm and Pepper really filled out and they became very fluffy long haired boys.:) Pepper didn't make it to his 6th birthday so he never even got to celebrate it on PT. I sure do miss this wonderful boy. For those of you who may have never seen him before, here's a picture of what he looked like as an adult.

I adopted Sunny when he was 6 months old from a rescue group. He was the last one of his litter and they were all found abandoned in a wood pile. They told me that he was an Aby mix and at the time I didn't even know what an Aby was.

I wanted to get Storm a playmate that had a lot of energy because Pepper didn't want to play with Storm any more. Boy I sure didn't know what I was getting myself into. Sunny brought so much energy, laughter, and goofiness to my household.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v176/krazyaboutkatz/Sunny/Sunnyworkingout-1.jpg

I was at a cat show and the Humane Society was there with some cats for adoption. During the lunch break, they were able to use one of the rings to talk about each cat. I thought that Herman was a very unique looking cat and I hoped that he would get adopted that day. Well later on I found out he was still available so I held him and that was it. I was in love. He was shaved down at the time because his fur had been badly matted. I immediately changed his name to Sky because of his beautiful blue eyes. He was about 1 year old at the time.

I had always wanted a Flamepoint and when I heard that a lady had one up for adoption, I had to go check him out. Starr was found when he was 1 day old by a policeman and then he was brought to a rescue group. Here's a picture of him when he was still a wee one.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v176/krazyaboutkatz/Starr/e504944c.jpg

When I first met him he was only 5 weeks old. He looked so tiny that I thought he was much younger.

Here are a few more pictures that I took when he was a bit older.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v176/krazyaboutkatz/Starr/7b00b85d.jpg

I first adopted him in early July but then he got ringworm so I took him back to his foster mom for treatment because she had others with it too. Here he is in my home in July.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v176/krazyaboutkatz/Starr/62f835b2.jpg

I got him back towards the end of Aug. and here here's another picture of him then.

As most of you know I adopted Pearl from K & L who lives in Arizona. She and her 3 brothers were found dumped in a feral cat park during the summer in weather over 100 degrees.:( I fell in love with her pictures and my grandmother was also named Pearl so this just seemed like it was meant to be.

Here is a little information, also this is what i went through with Charlie
Medical Conditions
The most known medical condition of Manx cats is called Manx Syndrome. It is a gap between the vertebrae, after the pelvic bone. It is a fatal defect, which is falsely believed to only be caused by the Manx gene. However, Manx syndrome is a condition that affects all breeds of cats. When the spine develops without a tail, it may shorten the spine too much, causing the gap that leads to severe spinal defects.
Manx kittens may show signs of Manx Syndrome as early as four-weeks old or as late as four-months old. It is recommended not to take home a kitten that is less than four-months old. The symptoms of Manx Syndrome include difficulty walking and excretion dysfunction.
It is most often developed by the breeding of Rumpy cats. Breeders try to breed other Manx cats that have tails in cycles with Rumpy cats, to prevent a litter being born with Manx Syndrome.

They say it is more likely for a manx cat with a "Rumpy Tail" to have manx syndrome i dont know how true it is,But Cally has no tail at all,and she is perfectly fine. And Charlie has what they call a Rumpy and he was a very sick little guy. They say it has something to do with the breeding,But who knows Neither Charlies mother or father were Manx's they both had tails.

[QUOTE=kt_luvs_kitties;2094091]I love all of the pictures. It is so cute how they look almost the same when grown!:D

I know its amazing,They grow to fast too,When i brough Cally home she used to get into the cereal cuboard and sit in the cereal box,Poor thing if she tried to do that now she would flatten the box.

I wish i had baby pictures of them all,I have had the worst time with digital cameras..and my computer having to be redone i have lost so many photos. Now i save everything to a disc or go in and get them developed.
